The battery in my 2021 Nissan Frontier died yesterday... $284 this morning for a new one. Had to get my son to lift the old one out and set the new one in... damn hernia surgery.

Pretty sure it’s bent

I just ordered a stock one just because the price was decent and it comes with the two upper braces that also broke

Do you know of a different plate for it? I had seen a few posts where they seem to be prone to bending

Oh, I don't know of any. I was hoping you found something better than stock to share with the group

Neither Associated or Horizon list what the stock chassis is event made from, so I have to assume peanut butter, since they are too ashamed to say for sure. I wouldn't believe them anyway if they did.

Example: They list the Kraton 6s EXB chassis and other parts as 7075 T6 aluminum. But since it bends EASILY (7075 T6 will not bend), I have to call them liars.

Yeah I can’t find anything for this thing about to fix it up and taking it easy on it. It appears they are going away with it. Going to grab up some spare parts as I can. That thing was a lot of fun though

Ordered some goodies for the SCX24 6X6 'Doomsday' build.

Pre-ordered the new Furitek Unity motor for it along with a new spur and pinion.

Also ordered 2 extended axle sets so I can widen the 2 rear axles' track width, along with some extended hexes to widen it even further.

And I ordered a larger Plano box to store all my SCX24 goodies. I have accumulated a mess of parts it seems.

As in discontinued? That's a bummer if so. They seem to have a short model life (AE)?
I have an OG Kaiju, which I ended up extending to an EXT. I've seen folks break the chassis on them but never have myself. The only jumping I do is snowbanks during winter, otherwise I only run on a backyard track the rest of the year. People say plastic and cold don't mix, but aside from the bodies being more brittle, I haven't had any real issues with cold weather bashing. I abuse the crap out of my Xmaxx on the snowbanks, loves it!!
