Hope it brings you and Breydon lots of time together and lots of close races @WickedFog
It sure will. We'll be a few weeks gathering the remaining parts. I have the wheels, tires, body nuts, and body to get yet. Might grab a few different pinions as well. Should be done before Christmas. Hopefully we get a good warm spell around then. Here lately it has just been frigid out there!

Definitely get a few different pinions to tune it to how you like it

Whats this going in?

I bought some hardware for shock stand off repair on my 6s outcast. I'll make a thread if it'll be helpful. The longest M4 hardened steel bolts I found, weren't long enough. So regular zinc plated crap it is. M4 x .7 nuts, lock washers and #6 flat washers. I also used a 9/64 bit to drill out the shock tower, which is a tad small for 4mm. But there's no 4mm bits available locally. This will still be stronger than stock, but hardened steel would be preferred. The combination of flat washers, lock washers and nuts allow the shock to pivot freely still. Total cost per shock would be around $3-$4.

So, the Jeep didn't come today, but this did. Only ran it a bit, just a little while ago, but, yes, I'm also impressed thus far!

I have to admit, I almost like the transmitter more.
The tx looks sharp, but doesn't feel great. However, it works absolutely fine. For under $100, I'm more than content with it.

Jeep is suppose to come tomorrow. 😀

I have another set of helping hands from progressive RC that is made of a completely different material and only has one hand on it. I thought Id try this one since it has two hands and room to add a third. My main problem with this set of hands is that the base has no weight to it and the whole thing moves around very easily on my desk. 👎 Dont get me wrong if you attached the base of this to something to add more weight to it, then it would be great but in its stock form its waaaay to light. My other progressive RC helping hand has a much heavier, thicker base and works much better.

Half the time when I buy products I have to stop and wonder if anyone actually tested it out before they started producing them cuz this seems like a glaring oversight imo.
