My third grader has been pressured and stressed all year long about the state standardized testing that would take place this year. He hasn't dealt with it great. He had the first test today. Just picked him up from school and asked "How'd you do!?" "I have no idea...the teacher didn't tell us...the scores are online". I log in to the app...score isn't there. Log in on the PC...score isn't there...

Wow! I thought it was high here. 3.89 yesterday for 87
$6/gal is actually a step towards healthier living. California is trying to discourage excessive labor by making it too expensive to go to work. :thumbs-up::rolleyes:🤣

I almost fell down after I saw the price of my 1st Californian full tank of gas!!! That was a couple decades ago now.

Gas is about the same here, just under $4/gal 87.

I will never understand what draws people to Commiefornia. Ill never set foot in that state.
It was nice to visit. Not REAL nice but it was ok. 🤣
I liked the weather, beaches were pretty... Thats about it.

I don't feel any desire to return.

4 of my 6 siblings relocated to Cali in the 90's, from CT. For whatever reasons, they enjoy it out there. No thank you, for me! It took me +4 years of living in beautiful weather Hawaii, to realize I prefer a true 4 seasons. +20 years back in New England, and I still have no regrets of coming back here.

I enjoy the weather here, and hate it too... Just like any other true New Englander.
That said, the whole damn island would have to be covered in lava before I would leave Hawaii I think! 🤔😮🤣

I felt that way, too, for the 1st couple of years. Same with a lot of mainlanders who thought they were going to live there forever, as well. An overwhelming majority just don't end up staying forever.

What would you say the main driving factor of migration is?

I always hear that everything is "so much more expensive" there compared to mainland USA, is that true?
