Tried to start over the snow blower
Has gas, about 2 years old but it's gas
Oil is good
Compression is good
Have no spark
Had spark first time we took it out but it was weak and any time after that it had 0 spark. Tried to open up/close the gap on the plug but still no spark.

I mean... Its 10 years old. Only used it twice. Only has ran through about 6 gallons of gas in it's lifetime. Never changed out the spark plug. Soooo yea. Shovels it is this weekend

Hold a match over the gas to make sure it hasn't gone bad.

Torch plugs used to be about the cheapest pos you could put in a mower or blower and still get it to run.
I replaced mine while the machine was still new and unrun. 🤣

No idea if they are still junk but my NGKs work great! 👍

Get rid of the crap old gas!!!

$20 says the plug is fine. I'm betting its a points ignition and they're just corroded from sitting in a shed for 2 years.
I was just thinking about plug bc that would be the easiest to get to try to get it to run. Prob not gonna get it to run or even try to. Too late tonight.

True. Although it sat in the shed between 2016 to 2024 and started up last time no issues so... Plug, coil or a ground. Can be any of those tbh. Bc those are the basic 3 things in the ignition right?

Nice will check them out. I'll see if AutoZone or advanced Auto or O'Reilly's. I already know dad is staying inside / at home tomorrow so I'll probably just wait and fix it up another time. We rarely have snow storms these days so it's not that important but helpful to have a blower.

Plus, dont they always include the most junkiest parts from the factory? 😆

I would pull that old plug and put a bead of never seize CAREFULLY around the new threads before it goes back together.
I agree, the plug is unlikely the only issue. I would maje sure the on/off switch, key switch... are all working correctly first, then dig deeper. Its prob something small. The hard work will be finding the problem.

Yes, cheap from factory is usually how it goes! Fortunately you shouldn't have to fill the diff and check the shock fluid on this one! 🤣

Oil might be a good idea tho. 🤔👍

My phone has given up. Ran it into the ground. Literally.

Junky Google Pixel 3a XL (2019-2026)
little tiny 4gb of ram can't handle these massive apps and the processing system always quits.

Been having issues for atleast the past 4 months but it just went down today. Anywhere from 2-6 times a day it will freeze because it can't handle it, I force restart it. It will restart and boot up, but anywhere from 2-5 minutes later after fully rebooting it will restart itself. Today right before it shut off I was playing Spotify, had it paused since I was listening to a conversation but a few seconds later I saw it turn off. It will go to the Google brand/logo name screen. Google logo loading screen saying powered by andriod, restarts again and repeats. Even in the boot menu it would restart and boot again.

Edit: Got it back working and working on clearing apps and files, like its going to do anything to help a hardware limitation issue

Spotify is the dealbreaker here. It takes up so much space. One time I saw it take up over 15gb of space. It is not the cache or offline downloads its purely user data and just streaming music.

Although, once my dad sets up his new phone, Ill get his current S10+. should be a huge upgrade. 8gb ram and 128gb drive. With a SD card slot too!!! Miss that on this Pixel. And still old enough to have a Aux/Headphone jack too. :)

i feel ya. I'm using a Motorola G Pure from like 2021. iv got 3 gigs of ram and 32 gigs storage. it lags, freezes on occasion, i have to restart it a few times a day if i play games or listen to SiriusXM for to long or it crashes.
on one hand id like a new one that's not a piece of 💩. on the other hand i don't want to deal with the hassle of getting a new one. i don't do much with it and it hasn't become problem enough to be inconvenient, so...

just had an interesting experience at the gas station.
went to pull in the driveway, a Dodge Challenger pulled into the first driveway and the pumps looked full on that side, so i hit the second driveway all of 40 feet later. had to wait for pedestrians with a small white fluffy dog to cross the driveway. had an butthead in a Tesla behind me. I'm waiting. as soon as the pedestrians and dog pass the Challenger looked like it might pull through to an open pump so i had nowhere to go and just stayed stopped pulled over in the right lane. bastard in the Tesla honked at me, jumped into the left lane and sped off. of course my windows down so i was sure to let him know he was #1. the Challenger ended up stopping and parking along the curb that runs along the sidewalk. so i pull into the open pump right in front of me.
as I'm getting out of my truck a black Silverado pulls up to the opposite pump. I'm pulling cash out of my wallet and double checking the pump #. a women, obviously pregnant, gets out of the drivers side of the Silverado and scurries inside. i wonder inside end up in line 2 behind her. she buys 2 6 packs and chewing tobacco. 🤨 then proceeds to scurry out the door. when i got back to my truck after paying she was gone. why pull up to a pump if you're not going to buy gas?
put $78 in the tank. washed my windshield. went back in to get my change. there's a women in there, you could tell she was a total freaking hippie back in the 60's but had like aged out. socks that went halfway up her shins and Birkenstocks, weird ill fitting flower dress, need i say more? and she gave me the stink eye for whatever reason. i just gave her the downward "how you doin'" nod and it was obvious after that that she was trying not to look at me.

so yeah, good times i guess.

Let me see if I'm understanding this right... the person in the Tesla was in a hurry to get to the gas pump? 👍

The future is looking bright! 🤣

Stock plug is a Torch F6RTC
Any good replacements or equivalent in NGK plugs?
Blower is a - husqvarna st 224
If anyone knows

I would pop the air filter off, spray a little starting fluid into the carb, then try and start it. If it fires up for at least a second, then your spark is good. It is then a fuel issue, whether it's the gas or the carb. Being that old, you might need a carb rebuild.

I used to deliver tankers of gasoline to gas stations, if you think that's bad wait until some 🤡 walks around the back of the clearly marked hazmat tanker you're unloading with a lit cigarette? If that vapor return line has any leaks it's💥

Another one of my favorites was a woman holding up the line at a small gas station while she paid for about a dozen items using her envelope spending system(so she had a candy envelope, take the money and count out change, a cigarette envelope, take the money and count out change) while everybody waited...lady you can take the receipt and do that at home! Very inconsiderate.

It also happened pretty regularly that cars would drive through our cones or over our hoses, or worse into the aluminum fittings that connect the hose to the ground.

I had decided the next time someone smoked while I unloaded I was going to use my fire extinguisher and try to blast the cigarette down their throat. I doubt I'd get arrested since I was trying to stop the fire hazard around gasoline vapors.

Yeah, there's no way they could give you any grief. Give him a shower.

My rant for the day, OMG the ArrmaForum has gone downhill recently, you tell someone actual facts and they go getting all defensive and poopy about it.. it used to be such a good place, I go on there less and less recently due to all the morons 🙄
Such a shame…
Been like that for years
