I was supposed to get my lipo charger today but ups decided not to deliver it even though several trucks have gone by and even stopped at the neighbors house. Now I get to wait even more tomorrow even though the tracking said out for delivery since 9am today. Been watching the window all day what a waste of a day.

Amazon too... it must be that time of the year. Been 2 days and Amazon still hasn't shipped my car. Why do I pay for Amazon Prime again? Free 2 day shipping? Amain can get something here in 5 days from order date with regular ol' shipping since they actually ship the package the same day or the day after. Amazon takes about 5 days as well with "2 day shipping" since they take 3 days to ship the item. 5 days still isn't that long to wait, I just think it's funny as you essentially pay a yearly premium to get standard shipping speeds.

Amazon here is much better than that. 95% of what we order arrives on the day they show when you place the order.

Didn't always be like that. This all started around Chirstmas and has just progressively gotten worse... Amazon recently opened a sorting center here and I suspect this problem is related to that opening up.

My tinfoil hate conspiracy theory is this:
Amazon is now setting up their delivery service in my town... while they work out the kinks, which will result in slower deliveries for a short period of time, they are artificially inflating USPS/UPS/Fedex shipping times by delaying when they actually hand the package off in order to make their own delivery service not appear slower. This way the "arrive by date" will be the same whether Amazon shipped it themselves or USPS is shipping the package.

Amazon here is awesome! I've been buying a lot of stuff for my new ebike and airguns. Everything gets delivered right on time. Even FedEx and USPS around my way do a great job. UPS is just ok.

Where I live, UPS is the MVP. I've always referred to them as "brown Santa."
USPS will either lose your package somewhere in seattle, Fedex will lie about delivery attempts for 3 or 4 days after it gets here and Amazon is currently just going through some growing pains. They're working the kinks out though and you can actually see some improvement as they hire more drivers and get their warehouse functional. UPS delivers packages like there's a bomb inside and if they drop below 55mph, it'll explode. I've actually witnessed the UPS guy running.

Last month, I ordered an airgun which was scheduled to be delivered 2/13. The package started in California and made it to NH, about 15 miles from me, on 2/11. That package was delivered, yesterday, 3/25!
Fortunately, the seller sent me another airgun shortly after the original was lost, and that was again sent via UPS, and that made it here in about a week.
Now, I have to go to a UPS store and send back the former lost package to the seller.
Like I said, here, UPS is just ok.

I have a fool proof way to get around all the shipping issues. Quit ordering stuff.

Amazon is still my best delivery service. FedEx is second, UPS just mutilates packages and USPS is just slow when they can find it at all.

a game i play on my phone is giving the term "Nintendo hard" a run for its money. its frustrating to the point that I'm surprised my phone isn't imbedded in the concrete wall 20 feet in front of me.
