Baby powder before you work with it next time. Put that on exposed skin. Then a cold shower to wash it off. It helps.
i don't know I'm going to be working with it until I'm working with it, so...
i also don't do cold showers. at least in winter.
luckily it doesn't make me itch, just makes me feel gritty, which i find unsettling.

Dang internet, it had me thinking that was your natural state! :stick:

:hehe:

I'm tired of dealing with customers who make pitiful attempts at fixing their own cars, give up half way through when they realize the youtube video guiding them doesn't compensate for lack of ability and common sense, tow it to me in pieces, then get upset when I charge them more than I would have if they would have just brought it to me to begin with.

I actually had a guy tell me the repair should have been half price since he already took it apart for me. Really? Nobody told me being an adult would be this hard. I miss the 80's.

My machine shop instructor had his own shop... When someone would call to ask how much he'd charge to remove a stuck/broken bolt, his first question was: Have you already tried to remove it yourself?
The price was variable depending on their answer.

This week has been an ass kicker! I am exhausted mentally and physically. I don't think I have a joint in my body that doesn't ache. I swear all the customers you haven't seen in a year only order stuff at the end of the year and it's always a rush. The boss left me with a big pile of crap to deal with while he takes a four day weekend. The best part is he is making us come in the Friday after Christmas even though 99.9% of our vendors and customers will be closed.

If this is your excuse for trying to get out of working on the Fox build, I'm not buying it!

When customers show up at our shop with stuff in pieces....first thing I tell them is ...I'm gonna charge you double....cause now you have to put it back together to see what's wrong and what's missing.🤣...I'm glad I'm not the only one dealing with IDIOTS...Sorry pal...it only got worse since the whole covid scare

I try to stay off Amazon as much as possible, but sometimes you gotta shop there when that is the only place you can find it. But I am getting sick of their stupid search engine manipulation, trying to get you to buy random crap. You search for something very specific, and it will show you 20 things before it shows you what you are searching for... if it shows your item at all.

Idiots everywhere......even some that are "ase certified" ;) I've dealt with a fair share of them also. Even just changing oil.
I know a few who earned extra initials for sure! ASSES certified mostly. 😉

You can always tell a 'good' mechanic. 😉👍

But you can't tell them much. 😐

🤔 MIKE certified!!! 🤯🤣

(Mega Immature Kyosho Expert)😁👍

so I'm sitting here at work bored. then all of the sudden the silence is broken by the sound of a small internal combustion 2 stroke engine that doesn't want to start. i know that sound! 1/5 scale! wonder over to the backdoor to have a look. don't see anything or anyone. engine now running and reving. wonder out into the alley looking in backdoors. nothing. huh wtf. wander back inside. still hearing the engine. still intrigued, wander back outside looking around. notice the guy in the tree. it was a chainsaw. :hehe:

In California you can sue for false advertisement and because chainsaws cause cancer. 😉👍

Trimming branches like that is easier in the winter, as you can easily see if there's a phone line, power line, etc that you may get hold of that you wouldn't have seen if the trees were fully bloomed out.
Where's the fun in that? 😝🤪 I'm pretty sure I'm the reason for call before you dig. They found it cheaper to waste time and money marking the property for free then paying for my fackup. Quite a few sprinklers, a few cable lines and the nicked a house main line several times. 🤐🫡
