I'm buying one through Amazon. I've never had shipping issues with them, but I do have Prime, so that may be the difference.
Yea, it interesting that Amazon seems to be getting through the fiasco that is USPS. I try not to buy through Amazon whenever I can, sometimes their prices are not a good as direct from the company. I wanted to make sure the right folks get their profit, but that doesn't seem to be working for me currently. Haha

Amazon here bypasses any main distribution hub, then hands it over to my local post office for delivery. That's probably why you guys are seeing faster Amazon shipments too.

my boss turned the air compressor on this morning. it has a leak in the line between the compressor and tank. so every 13 to 18 minutes it kicks on and runs for about 40 seconds. and while i wouldn't call it loud, it gets annoying. he's now done using it, but if i shut it off he'll restart it for some minor BS reason in about an hour and leave it on even though he won't need it anymore today.
i need a vacation.
Our bosses may have been separated at birth! There is an office that nobody is in for half the day. When ever I go through there I turn out the light. Then the boss will come through an complain "who turned out this light". There is nobody in there, trying to save the boss a few bucks, but it's a huge effort for him to turn on a light switch.

POV: when your alone in the shop and the air compressor kicks on.

It's scary
This has ALL the makings of a Scooby Doo mystery!!! 🤣
Mom's Malibu. 6 yr old engine. Only 25k miles on the engine. 4th cylinder around the head gasket is leaking when turned off. Not leaking when running. Weird.

If this is actually what is happening, the metal is expanding or the head is slightly warped and as it heats, twists and makes a seal.
You might get away with retorquing everything when its hot.
Just as long as its not so tight as to strip things out, theres nothing to loose at this point. 🤞
Either that or your antifreeze is actually expanding spray foam. 🤔 🤣
I hope it works out!👍

Well its at the shop now. was in last week to get front brake pads done. All of a sudden it started smoking and overheating. Mech. said that the ac compressor plate was going and needed to be replaced. Figured that i guess that plate locked up. causing the belt to not spin fast enough to run the water pump ie to overheat and smoke which could have ALSO caused this "leak" in the head gasket near cyl 4. Hopefully it all can be saved and revived.

See, not a tech or mechanic myself but my RC knowledge has expanded its horizon into 1:1 tech.

We have motion sensors and the lights are on timers, they shut off 20 minutes after no motion is detected. Each wing is divided into 6 sections, each section is independent.

Imagine the look on my face after I walk all the way out to the mailbox and back,
sit down in the shop, open the package of airplane hinges just to discover I'm
a proud owner of Honda Civic transmission drain plug washers.
Another three days of waiting.:mad::mad:

The worst thing about this is the fact I can't call and chew ass.
Somewhere in the world some dude
walks all the way out to the mailbox and back,
sit down in the shop, open the package of drain plug washers just to discover he is a proud owner of
RC airplane hinges.

What a d!ck!¡

Yea it's leaking coolant

I think that's why it not cool 😎 😂
So they haven't taken it apart yet but they know where it's leaking from so if it ain't the gasket worse comes to worse they need to send to machine shop to rebore the head.

Or I say throw a ton of rtv gasket maker and JB weld on it and let dry lol

At least it wasn't someone else's shoulder and neck you banged up! 🤣
The visual of this keeps getting funnier in my head...
Florida man tears tourist's arm off during vicious sneezing attack... more at 11. 🤣
