never gone that long, but i have done that with sunglasses once. i always wear a backwards baseball hat. i normally put my sunglasses on backwards under the bill of my hat when not needed. this time for whatever reason i put them on top of the bill. looked around for a couple minutes before knocking the hat off looking for the sunglasses, oh crap there they are. :hehe:
done it a few times with safety glasses to. forgot i was wearing them. that didn't take long.

but so far my favorite is the lost lexan scissors. had them in my right hand. needed them, started to look for them. put them in my left hand to move stuff around in my tool box to look for them. looked for them. didn't find them. then opened a drawer of random RC stuff in the workbench to look for them. set them down on the workbench and looked through the drawer. then had a "oh wtf you dumbass" moment :hehe:

iv also done the start looking for one thing only to get side tracked and start looking for another thing only to get side tracked again and not need or find ether one.
or the one where you forget what you were looking for and give up.
Omg!!! 🤣 I've lost entire days because of that! I am a MASTER of Sidetrackology!!! 🤣
Can't focus on anything... might as well call today a wrap! 🤣

Fired up my laptop and it won't log in. I got my it person working on it. They will try 2 more things before a hard reboot. If that fails I need to replace it. 🤮🤢

My 3d printer will have to wait. I got to get this jato up and put some nitro in the air. 🤣😝🤪

What laptop do you have? It wouldn't log in? Would it boot up or not boot up?

It support on the RC forum over here lol

Acer. I got it cuz it snitched on the last person downloading stuff. I use it for dash cam and 3d printing and sinkhole research.

At first only certain numbers would work but none on the numberpad. Then only one letter and one number works. Now it will randomly enter that over and over.

Got liquid spilled on the keyboard at some point. Probably toast.

I never ate or drank around it. Unless it was from the cold in the shop then warming up causing moisture. Even if it is i plan to try a wired keyboard.

for some reason 2 of the videos on a CD i burned in like 2006 won't work anymore. well one will half work, it plays the first 1:40 then stops as if the video is over. nope sorry, its 4:08. the second video just flat out won't do anything. while i was able to pull a lesser quality copy of the half working video off youtube, the non working video can't be found. so that's just great. CD looks good, no visible scratches or anything, idk why it won't work.
i think its time to get all my burned CD's and reburn them on to a DVD and back it all up on my external hard drive. i know disc rot is a thing, so a fresh disc is probably a good idea sense some of those disc's are over 20 years old.

also, it got windy AF today, wtf. glad i did all the yard work in the morning.

oh yeah, and i also can't find an RC DVD i burned back in like 2010. slim chance the non working video could be on it.

Cd's difinitely go bad. I was at work one day and a disc I was using exploded, blew the front right off of the drive, and threw shrapnel every where. Sharp cd shards blew across the room. Fortunately my computer was next to me and there was nobody behind me and I was just out of the line of fire. Backups are always important, but we tend to get lazy about it.

Everyone seems to think flashdrives last forever too and they don't either.
