With a piece of aluminum or kydex/nylon/plastic to maybe make something like this...Any good fan mounts for the T4? Not running too hot with my small pinion but like the peace of mind
i got up to 144, was surprised when i could feel the heat through the transmission case. in not sure if it makes a difference but my sensor wire wouldn't stay connected after a lap or two. With a piece of aluminum or kydex/nylon/plastic to maybe make something like this...

What temps are you seeing on your motor? Not that I'd use one, but I'd be into seeing how effective a fan would be.
I don't get concerned with motor temps until I start seeing 160°F. During mid summer scorching' heat waves, I'll keep a closer eye on motor temps and do whatever it takes to keep 'em below 180°F. My T4s usually are not the problem, unless the gearing/timing is way off.i got up to 144, was surprised when i could feel the heat through the transmission case. in not sure if it makes a difference but my sensor wire wouldn't stay connected after a lap or two.
The SC10B shock tower that's used on the T4.2FT is wide... finding a body with a wide hood scoop may pose a problem. So, got the T5M front shock kit (#91497), and managed to find a matching T5M rear shock kit (#91499) in the States. Having it delivered to family over there, then sent to me. Quite happy how that turned out.
I just need to sort out a body and find angled rod ends for the rear turnbuckles. Anyone have any recommendations for the angled rod ends??
Also, it still has the gull-wing arms on the front and SC10 shock tower. Will I be able to fit a T2 body on it? Or will I have to go back to the T4 shock tower and flat arms?
Where are you based?...in the States. Having it delivered to family over there, then sent to me.
Yeah, I don't love how those SC10B tower-compatible bodies look, personally. That styling change was the beginning of the end for meThe SC10B shock tower that's used on the T4.2FT is wide... finding a body with a wide hood scoop may pose a problem.![]()
Yeah, I figured it would. I had to cut two slots in the T4.2 RTR body to fit it... And it doesn't look great. Good thing I still have the standard T4 front shock tower and flat arms. The SC10B shock tower that's used on the T4.2FT is wide... finding a body with a wide hood scoop may pose a problem.![]()
I'm in the UK. Grew up in the States though, Florida and New Jersey.Where are you based?

Ok, so here is the problem. The JConcepts ball cups that I used have been discontinued. A person might find some floating around the interwebs. Also, the set only comes with 4 angled pieces. https://blog.jconcepts.net/2013/08/jconcepts-new-product-release-ae-ball-cup-assortment/@RustyUs what brand angled rod ends did you use?
The only reason I use the angled ones is because I reverse the orientation of my rear hub carriers.@RustyUs what brand angled rod ends did you use?
Do you guys know which stand offs I should use for mounting the T5M shocks on my T4.2??? I cannot find the standard AE T5M stand offs (#91445), here in the UK.
Cool. I can find those stand offs over here. Will give them a go. Thanks!I don't remember if I ended up using a long screw or not. The picture sure does have me second guessing myself.Using the 3-hole pistons in the front, and 4-hole pistons in the rear... 27.5wt (313cSt) shock oil all around.

moto obscura is run by a guy that comes to our track often. great guy. young too.My "foamies" ballstud dust shields supply has dried up. I had thought about making my own somehow, but never went down that rabbit hole searching for the perfect foam sheet to use. Meh, I've been running without them on half of my ballstuds the past year. I'm not totally sold on how much protection they offer.
Some people think they are made of "I know what I got" special dirt collecting material...![]()

my fully dressed ball studIs it wrong that I don’t use them only because they’re not aesthetically pleasing?Maybe I need to find some in black.
