I wish I knew that the DX6 was an ok radio & I could link all my stuff to one radio w/o have to buy all new receivers for my Arrmas. But I have others w non Spektrum stuff.

Their build quality is not the greatest. I still use spectrum on my aircraft, but the switches always come loose. The ads almost make you think it's going to be an all in one. I'll pass.

Bluetooth chip in the brain? 🤣🤪
Yeah, that's a good one. Maybe it controls your car for you. Charge your batteries, and send them outside to play.

Pass for me. Don't need it and if I did it would be a Flysky.
I am really curious to see what all the hype is they're trying to create with this advertisement. I've been sitting here trying to think of what could be innovative with a surface radio. Unless they implement a drag launch system into it or something along those lines, I can't think of what more they could offer that isn't already out there. Maybe they are adding a beer can koozie to it 😆

It's too bad that whatever it is, Horizon had it made in China. So in a couple weeks there'll be 3 more radios come out for sale on Amazon that have the same crap.

Well. We all know its better than radiolink trash. Lol
I’ve had really good luck with RadioLink stuff, and their range right out of the box is better than anything out there for any price. (With the dual antenna R7FG receivers.)
Guessing about the groundbreaking Spektrum feature, maybe an integrated launch controller like Perfect Pass? A multi configurable menu via a new program interface?
Or maybe an entirely new protocol similar to the RadioMaster stuff?

With the 4gs and 6gs, sure. But all their other stuff, and their customer service, yea non existent.

I can't complain about their AT9S, for under $100 it has every feature I could ask for, even telemetry, and I've never had it cut out or do anything unexpected.

I've reached out to their customer support and gotten a real email back as my first reply, not just pre-written junk. When they released the new versions of the 4gs and 6gs they offered substantial (like 40%) discounts to anyone who's hardware revision was too old to take the software update that would provide the new features. They regularly add/modify features in response to feedback.

The guys at the field like to recommend a $400 Spektrum transmitter, and then every extra receiver would be another $50-60, and if I want a rechargable pack I have to use their proprietary pack.

I just can't find any benefit to that when my $90 radio and $15 receivers deliver every functionality I could ask for. When I start losing planes to them I'll reconsider, but that's yet to happen, at least in my case.

My crystal ball for this radio and rc in the future... I'm betting on a "sign in here" page to power on. Maybe with full bluetooth and wifi connection, location too?
Maybe I'll have to download a file for each car I own?
There MUST be a way to get Google involved with my r/c time! LMAO!
Soon these will be "our rc cars" like a damned cell phone.
I wonder if manufacturers are going to start sueing rtr owners for "Right to Repair" contract breaches next??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

David is more referring to the problems with the RC8X, and the firmware update that has been killing peoples' radios. There has been a number of discussions basically contradicting your statement about them having great customer service and working on updates with the community. They have instead ignored people with these problems by bouncing pointless emails back and forth to frustrated customers, then ultimately ceasing contact altogether.

I don't even have a Radiolink, but I followed a number of the discussions in various RC groups. They basically have a number of people that are ticked off at them for selling them a $300 radio, then turning it into a brick with their firmware update, and have offered zero solutions for [I believe] over a year now. I would never buy one of their products after reading all the horror stories from people that are now out $300

There has also been a number of YT vids with RC8X equipped cars losing signal, going full throttle, and grenading on impact.
