I wasn't going to showcase this old build but I'm thinking of stripping it of its electronics or selling it. So I wanted to document it first.

This was my very first attempt at doing speed runs on a budget. I manage to get it to 119kmh (74mph) before moving onto Arrma.

It started its life as a WLtoys 144001 but was stretched using 124019 chassis, body etc and is running 4s.

I abandoned this project as I could not get consistent straight runs. Sometimes it would run dead straight and other times it was all over the place. Usually once it got up to speed it was on rails but getting it there was hard work. Also the monkey metal axles were bending too often and the wheel nuts kept coming loose.

Excuses me while I try to remember all the work I did to it. Some details may be a bit vague. It's been shelved since about 2021 or 2022.

As you can see, I had to raise the body quite a bit to fit everything under it.
