The 2100’s manual says that the “second screen” shows a battery cell’s Internal Resistance, “only when balancing.” I can’t figure out how to find it: the only three tasks indicated by the charger are charge, discharge, and storage. No “balance.” I do know that the charger balance charges, but I see no separate task indicated for balancing, and can’t figure out how to get the thing to show me internal resistance in any “second screen.” Does anybody know how to do this? Thanks!

From what I can see when you first start charging the LiPo is the screen will turn orange. During the orange phase (not faze haha!) it is fast charging the LiPo. Once the battery gets close to being max charge the screen will go green. The green phase is the "balancing" phase where it balances the cells while completing the charge. Once charging is complete the screen will go blue. Only during the green balancing phase can the scroll wheel be employed to charge to the secondary IR screen.

First, that was funny. Second, as always, thanks. I figured it would be you who answered …. So I have to almost full-charge a battery to get to where I can see the internal resistance, right? Ok. I’m going to try and see what shape my batteries are in. I know already my Traxxas 1400 mah for my little Revo has seen better days. That thing can be very fast, but I doubt it’s going over 15-20 mph right now.

Graywolf, please tell me you HAVE one of these chargers. Because if you just looked up the answer, I’m gonna feel kind of dumb, seeing how I went carefully through the manual myself, I think. Ok. Maybe I don’t need to know, ha.

Thats my understanding. Personally I dont like that cuz unless you're standing there hovering over it you could easily miss that part of the cycle. Hopefully it at least beeps or something to let you know when its shifted in to balance mode.

I was unsuccessful. I will try again. I did not see the charger switch modes between charging, balancing, or anything else. I’m sure it’s me.

Did the screen change colors? It might not physically say "fast charge" or "balance" etc but according to the user manual thats what those different colors are supposed to mean. It also says that reading IR is only available doing the "balance" portion of the cycle. It appears the charger does beep once to signify that it has entered "balance" mode.

Graywolf I think it did but I’m mostly color blind. I think I’m beyond help on this. Btw if you didn’t see, I started a conversation with you yesterday I think. You might not have anything to say! I Will understand! Anyway, thanks again for your generous nature in helping me.

I just saw it. I've been so busy lately I'm usually only able to get the forums once a day.
