Hello I went to plug in my esc today and pressed the power button and nothing happened no fan no steering I was stumped. After being plugged in for a second it let out the slightest bit of smoke do y'all think it's ok and if not what could be the problem thanks. P.s. just ran it yesterday with no problem

Just to make sure, you didn't plug it in backwards, right? If you didn't, well thats going to be a hard one to diag. almost like a mystery.
To be fair, it is a RTR esc of a rebranded Hobbywing, ie made a bit more cheaper, sold at a higher price, it can happen sometimes. I'm on my 2nd firma 150 in my typhon, although the 1st one wasn't a random smoke issue it was more like a burnt out MOSFET/s from hard landings.

If you did plug it in backwards, it would smoke, we like to call it the magic blue smoke. Can be a fried board (ie its done) or a popped capacitor (which is replaceable)

It's got xt60 on it no way to plug it in backwards really just hope its my battery it seemed a bit dead but still strange it wouldn't try to power on

Ah ok. Seems like a mystery to me. Someone with higher tech than me will probably chime in
Right now I would make sure the battery is fully charged and I would try again to see if it will act normally.
Although my thinking, although the battery could be dead, assuming if its a Lipo, lipos cannot be fully drained, if you plugged it in it would still turn on and recognize that its a x cell lipo if it were above 3.5v/cell

Just a note for later, if you ever want to get a replacement esc, stock Firma 150s can be found on Jenny's RC for ~72 bucks, instead of paying Spektrum's absurd retail price of how ever much it is. (just looked at it, 200 bucks USD, insane)
