Some sad community news

Just found out in the Team N301 Nitro Drag team/group on FB that @johnnydmd recently passed away due to his battle with cancer. Rest easy man. Wish I had gotten to meet you some day.

Really hate to hear that.. Great loss for sure. He was well respected, and liked around here. Truly hate it for his family, and those who knew him on a more personal level.. Rest easy @johnnydmd .. You will be missed, sir.

Huge loss to the rc community. Outstanding rc builder, and seems like such a friendly and humble human being. Wished I'd gotten to meet him.

We spoke and joked often. I wished we'd met IRL. I really enjoyed our conversations and getting to learn a little from a guy who was a true pioneer and artist in his field.
He was an amazing builder and a real nice guy!

I hope to all his friends and family, they will find some peace in knowing that the thunder rumbling overhead is just @johnnydmd running his cars up in heaven.
RIP my friend.

His sister made a post on Fakebook. I guess he was only diagnosed a month ago. So it happened very quick. There are lots of pics of Johnny on there. It's good to see he had a great big smile in nearly every one of them. He looked like he lived a very happy life, albeit a very short one

The last couple of selfies he posted looks like he was someone in his late 50's, early 60's.
