So, What R/C Did You Run Today?

Won my first main tonight! First heat i got flipped on my lid by a slow car. A little annoying and got a few more scuffs, but no cracks in the body yet. 2nd heat was better, but I started getting a headache from the humidity. In the main, i just did my best to ignore my headache and ran my own race and in the end I ended up winning! I was tight on getting home in time so I didnt get a podium pic, but I can get one sent to me tomorrow. I also got a sweet mini checkered flag.

One of the RC guys I used to watch on YT was building an outdoor track and was using one of those to clear tree stumps. It looked like a load of fun.

The guy that did mine had one with a Cummins diesel. He told me at times he would drop the trailer ramp then grind away sitting in the truck.

Racing tonight was a total bust. The car was just wayyyyyyyyyyyy off the pace. I was full throttle and yet it was slower than a turtle. Didnt even bother running heat race 2 and the mains because I had to diagnose the issue on the fly. 99.9% sure it's a faulty lipo regulator. Lipo battery was charging with no issue, no issue with the transmitter, and yeah. Very disappointing and annoying since these are a pain to work on. Gonna take the car apart yet again, take the regulator out and check the voltage with a voltmeter. Either way it'll be replaced with a new one even though this one was brand new. Electrical gremlins gotta love it.

Oh lovely more crap. one of the screw holes stripped on the body where it mounts to the chassis. I'm gonna hang up this body on my wall and do up a new one. It's just gonna get worse and worse might as well bite the bullet now while I have it apart. good news is that i got a painted body just need to decal it.

Just a follow up on this, took a volt meter to it and everything was fine. The problem was that I had to reset the esc. Very weird. Wanted to test it for a few laps at the track but didnt have time. Still gotta put it all back together anyways.

The old 2008 Boomerang still got it! Runs good. 2s lipo conversion. 23t Super Stock RZ motor. Gorgon 2n1 ESC & radio. Ran a full 5200mah pack through it, ran perfectly. Scoots really good. Got it dirty!
