1st attempt at construction for garage mini course, or table top for SCX24 and/or TRX4M Found 2 pieces of foam packing for a computer monitor in dumpster, freshly tossed by someone still in monitor box, so very clean. Still need to secure together with something, hot glue or possibly a few adhesive velcro pieces. Velcro would allow reconfiguring layout. Probably do some sort of "mountain" incline with flat at top. Image below is 1 piece of the foam cut and divided. Other piece of foam still intact.

Smooth out some corners with a hot spoon or shave some edges of with a razor blade. Have enough of this foam i could make 4 or 5 more of these, or just add on. Want to make an incline with some cardboard and some egg carton material or spray foam some texture. Also am working on a twine/popsicle stick suspension bridge that i want to suspend between "mountain" features. Would also like to have all of this in a box for storage that opens up for the track. Attach the features with velcro to the box when opened up and flattened out

Saw this yesterday and gave me some good ideas. How many cat wheels do you see for cheap cheap or free on marketplace or Craigslist. You could build movable obstacles using velcro and change the course at will

I would guess this would quickly get boring.

Disassembled for now. Easy to store and transport. Definitely creating some more obstacles and will use velcro to secure side of box, to make it a box again

Time to take a break. Need to cut more foam and pool noodle anyway.

Scx24 JLU I bought used. Didnt care for the jeep body so got injora ir60 for it. Switched to injora brushless and added radiolink Rx so I could use Tx I use for grom

I have been accumulating stuff like this to do a similar course for the SCX30.
