Very cool, looks like it will be a blast to run when you are done.
I agree! I think I’m building a lot of line options. Let’s hope it doesn’t end up being a bunch of undriveable wasted space! lol

Once the foam starts flying, things start making sense. Or perhaps it’s just the fumes speaking…

Still have to finish up a few spots of foam, then it’ll be time for the plaster cloth. For the part of the big mountain that looks like a ski jump, I want to make some sort of bridge over to the smaller pile of junk on the right side. I have to look around at other builds for some ideas.

I still see lots of room for random objects, get busy! 🤣 Hurry up, I wanna come over and play! :)

Looks like it's been exactly a month since I updated this thread. Time has been flying by, and I have been neglecting this project. It's easy to forget about it with it being in my cold basement lol.

Yesterday, I put some plaster cloth down in a few areas I wanted to smooth out and/or cover up trash that was used for obstacles. I've never worked with that stuff before, and it was pretty fun.

I think I'm just about ready to paint and texture everything. The plan is to make the flat "road" portions, mud. I'm going to mix saw dust into some mud-colored acrylic paints to give it the look and texture of thick mud. The terrain will be shades of gray like the granite and limestone we have an abundance of along the trails here in VA. I'll probably get a bucket of gray paint from walmart and mix in some sand and whatever else to achieve texture.
