That looks awesome and a lot of fun I'm trying to build my own and so far it's just a small pile of rocks lol
a pile of rocks is AWESOME bro, thats all it takes, mines stuck you're pile can be rearranged, something i prefer about the outdoor course as well. keep at it, i just use junk lol it works for me

2 spots built outside also, helps to have a tractor.

Everytime I'm driving around town and see yards with cool landscaping rocks, I want to knock on their door and ask if I can play in their yard. 🤣

I'm just afraid the guys with the butterfly nets and funny jackets will come after me. 🤪

I can just imagine the looks on people's faces being asked to play on there landscape 🤣

Down in my shop/hobby room along the back wall I'm going to start building another 1/24 scale crawler course.
Great time to get rid of junk I've been holding on to for some stupid reason.

Here's what I have so far. All of these pieces are basically "done." Have a few more I would like to build, but I simply don't have any room to store them.
Everything is modular, for storage purposes as I have nowhere to leave a course set up. 6 pieces total.
Most stuff is made from cardboard boxes and Styrofoam. There is some spray foam in there, as well.
Everything is covered in plaster cloth, and spray painted. Brown base coat, then white on top. Going for a snow capped mountain look.

Two pieces here. The one on the left is skull mountain. I put a bunch of different skulls I picked up from the Dollar Tree.
The right side is the first thing I ever made. The fart right is just a little trail, even a stock truck can do it no problem. The middle section has multiple lines.

A better view of skull mountain.

The other piece I made. Big cardboard box in the middle. I need to decorate that. Then three sides have their own obstacle.

Harder than it looks. Especially cresting the very top. Have to get the approach just right.
2.webp

The middle (font) section. Not exactly what I had in mind, but had to adapt to what materials and how much room I had to work with. That 180 degree trun half way up gets challenging.

By far, the right side is the most difficult. Fairly steep. Usually have to get part way up then just "send it".

Overall, it is more finished than these pics. Next time I have it out I'll try to get better pics.

Not as great as a lot I have seen on the net or YouTube. But, it's mine. Made them myself and for very little money. I can put them all away when I am done.

Oh, and the rig in the pictures is my buddy's build. He calls it King. Thing is crazy. It has rear wheel steer. 6 servos total, one on each corner. He can raise the ride height of the front and rear independently. Not each corner, due to limitations on the channel's, but, it's really cool.

Enjoy your trip @Doom! I'll take care of this guy, because - yeah, he sucks like really really a lo!

@Mike4xdriver - Yeah, if you keep that up, nobody is going to like you here! 😉😁
Just FYI, anyone from RCT is welcome to come use my course anytime

Heard a story yesterday from one of the guys at the LHS. Friend of theirs bought a house, clearing some brush etc and saw a a decent rock pile. Threw a crawler on it for fun and the neighbor came out, said it's nice to see someone using the course again. What do you mean? Cleared more brush and he's got 50-60ft of crawler course built into the side of his property, draw bridges, tunnels etc. Just sitting there unused for years.
