Build Showcase SCX24 Tiny Truck

This is my Axial SCX24. It started life as a red Ford Bronco and it's now a Pink thunderstorm F250.

Looks pretty cool. You can try taking the springs out of the shocks. Would lower the ride height, and it's free to try. Should make a nice difference.
Love the paint job
Yea, I'm going to try that next. They're weren't cheap shocks, so I'm trying to make it work. :)

The body looks good even if you had to buy it piece by piece! 🤣
The Furitek should be a nice upgrade! 😁
Thanks! I don't understand why axial doesn't include the rear bumper and chassis mount with the body🤷‍♀️. Now I know. It's also why it still doesn't have the rock sliders 😄

I still love this build, you picked just the right color for that Lexus body.
If you want to go Monster truck style the FMS Max Smasher is a great starting point for a custom.

The obvious solution here us to buy an appropriate rc to fit those shocks! I hate being wasteful too! 👍🤣

Looks awesome! How does it crawl?
Crawls pretty good to me. Not totally sold yet on going spring less with the shocks, but I'll drive it more and see. Sometimes now it wants to bottom out and then there's tire rub on the fenders 🤷‍♀️. I've attached them to the highest possible points on the frame, so maybe now with no springs I should play with the mounting points again...more tinkering is never a bad thing.

Tinkering can lead to VERY deep rabbit holes!!! 🤣
You should try to adjust thst height and see if the ride works for you!
Tinkering HAS been my RC fun almost all winter long! It really is fun!
Can you change the pinion in this? You might be able to get more speed now that you have your new motor. 😎
I know nothing about these platforms. 🤷‍♀️🤣

I'll have to check if you can get different pinion sizes for the chameleon. I'm not totally sure, but it came with a nylon pinion so you'd think that they'd capitalize on being able to upgrade to metal or something. I put the softest springs back on the front, seems okay. I may try that for a bit.

They do offer different pinions. Check out Hot Racing. They have various nylon offerengs. You can also get brass ines that are either press on or secured with a set screw. Furitek has some, as well as others. Just make sure to check the pinion bore size.

Awesome! I will look into this now...for fun 😅

I am still learning a lot about all of this. Got my first rc car in August. Have bought a ton of upgrades already (have 2 cars now) but still have to get input/suggestions on pretty much every purchase

I just put 43mm shocks on my Base Camp and am very happy with those, will also be getting some for the JLU too

The upgrades are endless! And there are tons of different things you can do with the 1/24 scale platform. As much as I probably shouldn't, I could see getting another 1/24. Then I'd have 2 in this scale and I have 2 in the 1/18. I really enjoy painting, so I like getting different bodies for my chassis. That Basecamp looks so good!
