Got the Cougar2 Works upgrades all done, ready to take it to Rainmans RC Raceway in Bakersfield for test and tune on the clay surface when the weather cools down.

Yeah the chassis kept bending and the motor mount situation is a poor design with it slotted top to bottom instead of front to back so it kept moving and stripping spur gears. I think I got that stuff solved with the new chassis brace and the 3d printed insert as well as some serrated motor washers! Definitely handles real good and is easy to drive on a real offroad surface! I beat a bunch of modern buggies at Hotrod with mine

I raced there back in the early 90's at the NORRCA State Championships my original cougar did well and my cougar based truck dominated we stayed over night and raced a club race the day before the championship event that track was knarly it had elevation changes very bumpy.
