I finally had a chance to call Traxxas, I'm sending in the fried ESC and they're sending me a new one.

I finally got my replacement ESC in, but for some reason, I can't get it to play nicely with my Spektrum gear. I had it working before but this one keeps flashing a rapid green, meaning the ESC is reading a throttle input. I've reset the try settings and zeroed out the trim, I've even gone +/- on the trim trying to find a "sweet" spot. I had to put the stock 27mhz radio back in to get it working. Any one have any ideas?

Yeah, I've tried a couple different rx as well. I'm going to run it with the stock trx/rx for a couple days, then I'll try it again. I had to work with it a little when I first got it but it didn't take this long, I also had the older (no LVC) version ESC as well.

Something doesn't look right......

I see them.........that front end looks a bit out of alignment might wanna get that checked..... :D

Something harder than my wheel.

It was a sign on the sidewalk that shows what side is for walking and what side is for biking. I had been drifting around it a couple times, then I drifted into it and saw my tire bounce away.

I see em now :) Nice car! can you drift with that one?

Yeah, right into a pole.

I was really just slinging it around the pole, not drifting like they do with a car that's setup for it. I'm pretty sure you could if you took the time to make a few changes though.

I'm building a wish list for this little guy and I can't decide what KV motor to go with. I've already got the BB mount so I'll be running a 1/10 setup. I've been looking at the Castle Sidewinder SV3 systems, they're now waterproofresistant and come with a 4 pole motor, plus they're right around $100. Any suggestions?

I'm running a 1/10 VXL in my merv and it's hard to handle on 3s and 2.2 road hawgs, not so much the top speed but the torque is crazy! I have a set of Losi mini 8 tires/wheels that I run sometimes and they never stop spinning...They had a bald stripe on them before the first pack went dead. I would go with a SV3 5700 or 6900 on 2s with a tall gear! It's going to be silly fast regardless.

BTW my merv has the stock spur with a 31t pinion and I could easily gear higher without worrying about temps.

Thanks man, I figured anything below 5000kv would be too much torque. Has anyone run the 7700kv?

I run the older 6800kV on an RC18t with 1/10 scale sedan wheels and it's great on 2s and insane on 3s. I'd say go for it.
