I think the Grom has been a strong performer for Arrma / Horizon.
Sort of makes sense Traxxas would want in on part of that action too.
Looks like the mini Slash apples to apples is coming in around 10% higher at $20 bucks more than the same Grom.

This is what the mini Slash comes with.

That would be about the same spec, content wise as the Grom pkg ARA2304S that is priced at $269.99

Even being a huge Traxxas fan that I am, I don't think this mini slash has anything going for it in the looks department compared to the Grom which I assume is why they brough this thing out to compete with the Grom.
The color choices for the mini slash are awful IMO.

Yea and the Mojo grom is a 3s beast while the Traxxas is only 2s max and slightly bigger.
Sort of competitor sort of not. Idk. Blame Traxxas for anything. Lol.

The Grom was to compete with the 1/16 Slash,

The Mini Slash is just to offer another option for those who might like the size but dislike the cantilever shock setup on the 1/16.

How silly for a manufacturer to offer more than one item.

but the thing that really pisses me off. like seriously WTF!? is all the aluminum crap they already have for it. its so good it already has $150 in aluminum "hop ups". sonsabitches are using the Blockbuster strategy and making there money off rewind fee's.

Scale means absolutely nothing in surface RC if you’re not racing by class.

The kicker is that it's just stuff so that the "other Mini Slash" can run 3s, something that the nicer Groms can do stock. Heck, Traxxas even used to sell a 1/16 Slash VXL that ran 3s and the Veleneon system from day one.

When the Mini Maxx was released I couldn't go into a LHS without a customer saying "I watched all da youtube videos George and I bought all da upgrades", I anticipate the same for the Mini Slash.

It's a fricken mini maxx with a sct body and probably shorter arms, of course it's $300. I like the way it looks, hard PASS.

its a traxxas so the price won't come down any. you'll have to wait 3-5 years to snag one that's been ridden hard and put away wet but is well hopped up on ebay for the price of a new one.

They still offer these at $130, which is closer what 2s minis should cost.
