Well the Shoppette on base had a raffle a couple weeks ago, and I won. This is the second time that I won a raffle on base, the last one I entered was for a Jeep Wrangler.........I won one of the "other" prizes on that one, I got a fold up Malibu Rum chair, Miller Lite hat and a Dale Jr cooler. This raffle was much better lol. It's based on the 1/16 scale rigs, so the upgrades are plentiful.

The bumper is pretty cheap, it's just a silver sticker. It's actually a few stickers that they cut to fit.

Thanks guys. I'm going to get a regular Rally body for bashing, maybe a Mustang body if I really want to beat it. I've already swapped the 27mhz rx out for a Spektrum SR300 and have it running on my DX3S.

Yeah man, you know Traxxas is still putting the old school TQ system in they're "cheap" rigs. Haha, a cheap Traxxas....that's like Starburst, a juicy contradiction.

Well, that didn't last long.....I hadn't even run a whole pack through it when the ESC let out the magic smoke. I also rolled it on the track, new bodies have a distinct sound as they go sliding across concrete.

Yeah man, I don't know. I did a couple laps, temps were fine, turned it off and ran both of the Mini 8ights for a while and the Camaro stayed inside. Then I ran a lap, decided to put another lipo in the empty battery compartment, trying to help the traction. I brought it back out turned it back on went forward about a foot and hit the brakes, I noticed the brakes weren't very good, went to back up and a billow of smoke poured out. If it would have happened a little sooner, I wouldn't have scratches across the roof of the Camaro lol.

It'll be a while, no RC purchases until after Christmas. I think I may have a spare XL5 ESC somewhere, I may have to see if it'll fit for now.

I ran some new shoes on it, the stock ones were absolutely horrible, they had no traction and were very inconsistent. After I put the new (to me) ones on, it was much easier to control, it still drifted really easily but you could control the drift through the corners. Maybe the added traction is what killed the ESC lol.

They look better in person, it's funny how scratches really show up on black cars.....even if they are RC.
