Looks good, Ross. What motor did you end up putting in that R40? Get to race it yet?

I am running this motor with an RD Logics Turbo II ROAR pipe and a MotorSaver filter.

I raced it for the first time on Sunday and I wrote about it here.

My initial impression of this motor is it does not make as much straight line power as my 18ss did. The motor is still brand new, I am running it fairly rich, and my shift point is off a bit. I expect it to make a little more power after I dial it in. I am running it on 20% O'Donnell (conservative) with an MC-59 plug.

Ross. Did you cut out a large portion of the body under the tail lights on the R40 body?

If not, try to cut out as much lexan from under the tail lights as possible, without compromising the strength of the body.
If you need an example, LMK. I'll post a pic.
To much air can get trapped under the body, with no where to go, making the rear of the body act like a parachute.
I see that you cut it high already.
I cut mine like this.

I like it though! Nice job! Looks better than mine!

Yeah, especially since you're not doing outlaw, I have to really keep an eye out! This is gonna get confusing.
