i'm looking at getting my son a rc car for his b-day. he has had a few walmart cars and really takes good car of them. but i want to get him something better. what do you guys think i should go with. i was thinking about a micro but not sure. thanks shaun

1/16 e-revo VXL with 2 batteries in parallel would be perfect, they are TOUGH for how small they are

for a little kid, i would sugest a sc10 from team associated. they come with everything needed minuts batery and charger. these things are bulletproof!:first_place:

he will be running in the driveway and in the quarry where i will be playing with the revo. i'm looking to spend around 300 or so.

Slash, SC10, Blitz, if you like Short Course trucks, Stampedes are nice little monster trucks, especially for a beginner. I started my 3 year old with a Stampede until he turned 8 then got him a T-Maxx.

i'm fairly new to nitro so i was going to get him electric. i'm even thinking about getting something used cause he is just going to break it anyways.;)

i would second the pede, only because I've never had the others like the slash. its got good ground clearance, decently tough, and the new ones have 3 settings on the throttle control. one of which is for beginners and limits the top speed. i think the pede would be best for the quary.

Well, you could get an e-revo, then you only have to keep one set of spares for the suspension/axles/wheels...

I see your in freeport. Look me up this spring if your still running nitro and I could make a trip up if you have a good place to blow a day. My bash areas are dwindling...

slash for sure
i see those things take one hell of a beating out at the track and they just keep on truckin.

olds i will but the quarry is 1 hr north from me yet at my friends farm. if you ride a quad or a bike its a great place to ride.
