I charged up some batteries and run my Xmaxx, sledge, and Bigrock 6s today. It was a day of fun. And break downs.

I was running in a new area. I loved it. Lots of jumps. Great place to rip around. The rc takes a licking though. It proved that today.

Landed under throttle one to many times with my Xmaxx. Tore up the rear differential.

Hit a sand pit ripping the sledge around. Broke it. The steering arm, the shock cap, and bent the drive shaft good. First time I’ve broken anything on the sledge. Careless error. Got to tracking it instead of leading it.

Got the big rock out and ripped it around a bunch. Had a blast. Until the rear tire came off.

Didn’t get to hit lvc with any of them. Got about 12-15 minutes on all three. Short trip.

But, I had a blast. Now, got save some money and fix some RC’s. 😁

this sounds like a GREAT day ! a little short sadly which one you thinking about fixing first?
i saw a sledge at a hobby shop once it was wicked irl,
my big rock is busted i keep ordering the wrong parts for it lolol
shoot some pics and throw a new build thread when you figure out which one to start with, i for one would dig seeing the sledge

Just when you think something couldn't go more wrong... it does. Having a first run of the day cut short is okay. Having to cut things short with a broken part on your second ride within 15 seconds of hittin' the dirt... bummer. Having to walk back to the house in shame with third and fourth attempts of RC fun take place... 😞 Body torn in half, lifeless spur gear, CV joint barrel skips town, tire becomes a hula hoop, shock squirtin' on broken tower... I totally understand.

I'm just about done recovering from one of those days. 🔧🔧:celebrate:

I’ll post up the repair. It’s a pretty simple one but, it’ll give you a good idea how it’s put together. It’s a phenomenal RC. Tough as nails.

For sure.

The park was starting to crowd up. It gets hard to drive with so many people asking questions. One thing about rc cars that go fast is everyone wants to look.

When I hit that sand pit barrier doing Mach 9, I heard some on lookers make comments about how I couldn’t drive. I reckon I proved them right.

With so many people watching me go through the RC’s like that sure didn’t help my argument at all. lol

Here’s a few pics either description.

This is how it set when I started.
