I'm a bit late to the party, but got one of these for Christmas. I have a mini 8 buggy and bought the mini b pro roller when it first came out. The mini 8 is freaking awesome and a beast but the mini b has been a POS. I'm thoroughly impressed with the mini LMT in every regard thus far. For being brushed, it's perfectly fast, handles amazing and is actually great all around for it's intended purpose. It flies strait and flat which makes landings fun and controlled. I can't believe i like it so much actually and don't plan to modify this thing, which would make it my only RC to remain stock. (I say that even though I already have half a dozen aluminum upgrade parts sitting in my shopping cart right now LOL)

I only have 2 questions for the group:
What are you guys using for replacements instead of buying more stock batteries and what is a good servo upgrade for when this one dies?

My mini b takes a Deans plug for the HW esc, but I'm not sure if a regular, non smart battery, will work with the stock mini LMT esc.

I have spare servo, only bought it because the pro roller kit did not come with servo mounts, which is ridiculous, so I'm not in need of one yet. I put in a nice and way too expensive AGFRC steering servo in the mini b but I never found any place anywhere, including the damn manufacturer, and that sells a servo horn that fits it, so definitely don't want to buy another one of those.

Quick question. Did you find the gears to have factory Grease or were they dry? Asking because if they are appropriately greased from the factory I'm not planning to take mine apart and mess with it until something breaks.
Thanks
Honestly I can’t remember since it was almost a year ago. But I don’t recall them being dry. I think you’ll be okay. 🤙

The LMT stock esc is a IC2. It is backwards compatible with EC2 so regular non Spektrum batteries can work. Or you can run a adapter or solder your own plugs on. In my Mini B I use these Urgenex 1100 35C 2s packs. Not sure if they fit the LMT but if they do they are the best lipos for the price in a combo. 20 bucks, can't beat it. In my Mini B with those packs I soldered on a deans plug onto the 2 other esc/motor combos I had. I recently got the Spektrum 2in1 6k-kv which has a regular EC2? I plan to get ec2 to deans adapters since I am very poor at soldering. Not sure why they would fit a IC2 on the LMT esc/motor but on the Mini B/T/JRX esc/motor they fit a EC2???

Still, if this is correct, in my Mini B I used to use a Savox SH0255MG with a Hot Racing Savox (aluminum) servo saver. Should be able to work in the LMT? @Hammer Down might know? I recently got a upgraded SH0255MGP which I just filed a warranty claim for (case broke). Lots of people recommend cheapo EcoPower 827 servos but I had one in my Mini B, died after 2 runs.

If it’s the same IC2 from the GROM, then no, it does not work with any other connector.
