so as some if not most of you know I'm a die hard oval racer , currently out of 13 of my cars 8 are dirt oval racers. And while this new losi looks promising one issue losi got wrong from the get go is the 4 pole motor. in little to no sanctioned racing will that motor be allowed , 95% of oval races mandate 2 pole motors ( unless a club race and they allow it) so that 1 strike right off the bat. 2 while the price point is there and getting people into oval racing is awesome, alot of folks look at this car in the same ways they see the traxxass modified and now the new traxxass latemodel. it's going to end up being ANOTHER class of it's own because it's not fast enough to compete with purpose but cars and isn't on the same level as anything else currently being run. so the only option is making a class you can only run this car in as a "box stock" all this said that is a bad thing for oval racing there are already tons of classes that make a race event long as heck to get through. as far as if it is a good thing or bad thing , we'll it's a dou le edge sword. me personally I'll keep what I have and not move down to a " slower class" for the sake of that's what everyone else is doing

It's a high bite clay track. Looked like the pushed a lot. But to be expected out of the box.
I'm loving the turn-key race car idea! I hope racing is coming back!!! 😎
This is a fun idea and not one I saw coming!

Online the instruction manual shows an option to run it as a wingless caged sprint. For those so inclined. That's the way I'd run it.

Once a year we ran a wing on the '10 car'. Outlaw race in Sioux Falls, SD every October. Raced her with a wing on the cage and nitro in the tank. Other than that, wingless caged the rest of the season. -AC

No wing is my intention... of course it'll mostly see baseball in -fields and such.

Our track all the winged sprints are foam tire and the wingless are rubber tire. Not sure why the difference.

Breydon went to the Terre Haute Action Track to watch the USAC Silver Crown series opener. He sent me a bunch of videos, so I uploaded one for you guys. He's not the best camera operator 😜

Man, I miss going to watch the racing here.

I was watching this video and Mrs Certified asked me what I was watching.
I told her I was watching midget racing.
She said 'Cool!!! Why are there engines running too?' 🤣

Those weren't midgets 😉

Picked up one a couple of days ago at our local hobby shop. Love it so far on carpet and pavement so no doubt it would be great on dirt of course. Definitely likes to go left better than right LOL but most of our tracks only have one or two right turns anyway. (Unless we run reverse). At any rate I ordered the kit to adjust rear toe so I will probably even it out, same with camber front and rear. Very easy to drive well, seems easier than the Slash versions I bought first when I was just learning to drive RC.

We've got a good size group that races Thursdays and every other Saturday. Usually 6-10 show up

I've been looking at the 22s, would love to get into dirt oval. No track close to me though. Plenty for buggy, sct, road, crawlers etc. No ovals though. Interesting since the real ovals had some real history up here in the north east.
Our usual parking lot road course was compromised this most recent week by a bunch of cars that were parked at one end (bus tour) so we just set up an oval at the other end. The Losi Sprint was a blast on the pavement with all the stock settings and tires. So paved oval would be an alternative to dirt.

I've had fun with mine.

I've run it in an oval around the pitchers mound on a baseball field as well as in the street.

Not sure where you are but I think NY, NJ, and PA all have a pretty good oval scene. I have two tracks within an hour, so I consider that pretty lucky.
