@CJSRCLIFE I know you like Spektrum so now if you do a firmware update and if you get any new Horizon cars with the SLT receiver or 2in1s, your radio can bind up! 😉

I doubt Spejtrum has been listening to their customers. I bet the Radiomaster MT12 and poor sale prompted this radio.
Spectrum would make us buy radio kits, parts individually if they thought they could make another 10 cents a year... they didn't do this "for us". 🙄
Its gonna need to be a pretty magical car to convince me to buy another R/C that comes prebuilt using bozo electronics that I have to pay for AND replace.
My focus is on kits right now. No more rtr.
Curious, now that they sell 'one radio to rule them all' are we still gonna get taxed another $50 for a completely useless SLT2/3 with every rtr purchase?

Supposedly due to older hardware limitations the 5C and 5Rugged will NOT work with the NEW firmware. Smh horizon (what else is new with them). Only radios listed in this screen shot will work
iSXR, 6C, 6Rugged, 5Pro

How much more things they can do to piss more people off? Guessing game at this point.

Yeah, they can't figure out how to get the old receivers to spy properly. 🙄
I get it tho. How would someone expect the company who manufactured the receivers to build a transmiter that worked with said receivers???🤔
Its like last years technology was locked in a vault and can't possibly be figured out now. 🤣

I did this update to my DX6C last week and have yet to test it since i don't currently have an SLT but thanks to @Lostinthewoods86 i got one and a SR315 coming in the mail. I'll probably do this to my future iXSR when i get it if it isn't already got the update from the factory.

That's part of what held me back from trying out the micro-b. I have the DX5C and can't update to the new firmware... so, buy a new $170 overpriced transmitter (that was likely $120 5 years ago when I bought mine) in order to be able to use a single radio with all my stuff and the micro-b... or, decide I don't really want a micro-b. lol!

There ARE no updates for my DX4C. Doesn't exist I guess. 🤷‍♀️

I've had my Spektrum DX6C now for almost a year now and by October it'll have been a full year since i made the switch from both Futaba and Radiolink. Since Radiolink had failed me greatly as well as the iXSR's first debut last year i knew i had to have the iXSR at some point in my life but couldn't afford the switch right away so i bought my DX6C. And the DX6C has so far been one of if not the best radio i have ever owned the customization if you know how to properly use the scroll wheel and learn how to bind and use AVC receivers has been amazing. Also my DX6C to me anyways feels like quality in the hand it feels really solid and built like a brick compared to my 4 year old 4PM which feels a little cheap but that might just be me. Thanks to @Lostinthewoods86 i got a free SLT receiver then did the dual protocol update and it bound right flawlessly.
