Slash is a great truck. It's been around for a LONG time and there are tons of hi up parts to build it however you want! Would be a great truck to get into racing with if there is a track local to you.

Yeah its my dads. I lost/broke left at a friends my dads old stampede. So i traded my old pos dirtbike for those two rcs and gave the slash to my dad. I'm just trying to find like an old chevy truck or camaro

Have to get a deep well 8mm socket to finsh

To finish what? Taking off the flywheel? Do you have a 4-way glowplug wrench? Those usually have one that fits.

Just curious, what are you taking photo's with?

This is the motor saver filter for the t-maxx: http://www.motorsaver.com/tmaxx.htm
This will probably work too: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-TRAXXAS...374136?hash=item3f625fa1b8:g:6hcAAOSwZG9WjfNw

Would suggest installing it, then making a hanger for the end of it so it doesn't flop around on you. Just a piece of wire that you can make a loop on each end. One for the filter screw and one to screw it somewhere solid on the chassis.
This is the wire I threw on my big block revo for the filter to give you an idea:

The chewed up outer filter is the result of not having the hanger. LOL!

Lol!. Hey guys i toke my motor apart and put it back together is it normal for some tension. Like it feels tight when it gets to the top of the cycle

Got my parts. Cleaned the carb and motor. I used copper rtv to seal it. Have to wait for that to dry.
I think I'm doing pretty good for my first nitro i hope it runs later.
Thanks everyone for all the help and advice. I love this website and nitros!

I'm glad we could help. Def be sure to stay in touch, ask more questions etc... Read read read!!! Learn your manuals so you understand your carb and the settings, what they do etc... It's very important you know this! We can help you thru the initial set up but it is going to fall on you to keep it running right. I will suggest that you buy a digital thermometer to help you learn and to keep things set properly. While we are helping you, esp online, having real temps is going to be very helpful! Good luck and great job so far!

I have one. :) getting ready to try it soon

I think i might have strip out my carb high speed adjustment. I'm sure i did it wont tighten. Do i have to buy i whole new carb now or can i fix it somehow.

Could i use jb weld? Lol

I figured it out. Just have to order a new carb body. Not gonna try to apoxy or jb it. Its like 13$ for the body and 9$ for the pin.

If you are gonna order the parts, you might as well buy them all... They are reasonably cheap and if you find you have missed a damaged part, aside from having to wait, the shipping costs will likely be more than the part!!! Def get the whole deal... Anything you see or question. Out the old carb completely together and see if the other parts are stripped etc... Also, order the associated green slime. You will not reget it! ;)

Btw, because the sealing of the parts is VERY important for correct operation of the carb, i would NEVER use jb weld in this application.

Did you ever find the bodies you were looking for?

No i havent and i went to the hardware shop and got copper rtv.

I was talking about for the seals or o-rings in the carb. The green slime is the way to go if you can get it. Most hobby shops would likely carry it too. it's a popular product. You need something that will not harm the o-rings and provides good lubrication for installing them. It will also need to provide some layer of protection to allow for regular adjustments of the needles on a regular basis, without damaging them.

Okay il

Ill need to order that to but my first attempt i brought a 8 dollar tube if copper rtv. And got new orings and replace the old ones and used the to seal everything.
