Well, the 2024 season has finally begun for me. 🄳 Got the track cleaned up from winter and had my first run on Father's Day. Man it felt great getting back on the track. Still tinkering with ramps and smoothing it out. It's never ending, but so worth it. 😁

Going to try and get a Birthday run in this evening after it cools down. Of course after a couple movies and a nap. Then steak dinner, presents and some cake and ice cream!! 😃

And here's a link to my Track build thread (from Day 1) on RCT's brother forum-Arrma Forum, for those that are interested.

EDIT: Ugg...can't get link to work. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Nice recovery, bri. Track maintenance is an ongoing thing. Doesn't take long for it to get away from you. You got 'er back race-ready for another backyard season. Two thumbs up. :thumbs-up: :thumbs-up:

Me, I'd a run it like it was. I like 'em rough. But that's just me. Fine looking track. -AC

Great job with the clean up!

Have a wonderful birthday, today!

Try to post some of that birthday grub on the food thread. We miss ya on that thread!

Very nice, a lot of work for sure, but nice to have it available, just out back! :joyful:
Yes sir! Thanks!

Happy birthday. I regret not finding this thread sooner
Pretty darned impressive huh? I love the whole setup. Track, shop, driver stand, all there together. It'd be like winning the lottery to move in next door to Smilinbri.

So, I finally was able to set aside some time for me and my RCs! Last Friday I took a 1/2 day from work and spent all afternoon runnin' rigs on my track. It was so much fun finally getting out there for more than 20mins. I haven't had a lot of time this year for my RCs, so I needed this fun break from life. šŸ¤—

Enjoy! Music courtesy of @Moirae !! 😁 āœŒļø:cheers:

I'll be glad when the season is over, so you will quit going out there and making such a ruckus, don't you think it's about time to start acting like an adult and quit playing with toys?

Nope! Nope! Nope! Don't listen to me, I'm crazy! 🤪 glad you got to do some shreddng! šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

I've been doing a lot of on-road this season, so I haven't spent much time working on my track. Over the past month I slowly created a drag harrow and finally got to try it out this past Saturday. It's shorter than I wanted, but I spent $0 making it, using parts I had laying around. I also had to get off and move it by hand on several turns until I realized my chain was too long. After shortening it, I was able to go around every turn except 2. It definitely needs more weight. I have a thick metal L-shaped bar (like the kind you would use to hang a porch swing) that I plan to screw to the end, so the scraping is more even without the small drag marks and ruts it is leaving now.

It got cold as balls yesterday, so I probably won't work on it much more this season. I will definitely try to get some track time in if we get some warm days before the cold a$$ winter sets in. :p
