I traded my Jeep scaler for this Slash, not a scratch on it! I just took it for it's first run, it's dark and I could hardly see it and rolled a few times on the blacktop so it now has character, then ran it into my oil drain pan that I should have put away and it got covered in motor oil.....I had to break it down for a cleaning after 5 minutes of running :hehe:

AHH thats BADASS!! Thats the same one I want but that is so so sick bro grats! :hehe:

After taking this thing completely apart I must say traxxas did a pretty good job with this rig, very simple but still well built! It does ok on the 7 cell pack and handles much better than I expected and the stopping power is sick, it's strange to hit full brakes and not have the truck endo or slide, this thing just flat out stops! I can't wait to see it on lipo :D

Nice!

Congrats on the new rig.

I just ordered a 2S 6000 45c lipo, some spare stubs and shafts, aluminum hub for the front and a sway bar kit...Woo Hoo!

Nice rig bro! I beat the hell out of my slash and it still keeps coming back for more. I really like the look of the BF Goodrich tires and the replica lid. Sweet ride man!

I was trying out the new lipo and the sway bars and figured I would snap a couple of shots.

Nice! I kind of want one, but I don't really feel like dabbling in electric that bad. Would be kind of cool if traxxas cranked out a nitro version that wasn't based on the revo. Something straightforward and simple based off the 4wd slash to run like the HPI MT2. Would give them another outlet for the 2.5R that wouldn't be underpowered...

For me the way this thing handles is what makes it so fun! It will do donuts and Slide around on almost any surface but is still very controllable, although that could change with a 3s. I have to admit that running electrics have made me lazy, I don't want to mess with the nitro very much anymore.

I think you will find it still very controllable on 3s.

What gearing are you running with the 3s? I'm running the stock gearing and the motor temps are getting up there, I'm going to try an 18t pinion and see what that does.

yeah whatever mr. oooooh i miss nitro and love my savage. bleh. lies

anyway, we need to get together and run the 4wd's man. I have my STE and you have the slash. That calls for a dang bash session!!

We need to work on a G2G, any good bashing spots in your area?

yeah whatever mr. oooooh i miss nitro and love my savage. bleh. lies

I knew you wouldn't miss that LOL

There is a track in scott that i have never been to. I'm not sure when they have races and whatnot but it would be cool to run the truck on a track with just us. If nothing else a big hilly field would work.

I ran on the track in Scott a few years ago, they race on Friday and Saturday nights but members can run anytime during the week. At one time you could go to Cajun Rc and pay $5 for a one day pass but I don't know if they offer than anymore.

ahhh crap, alpine found the thread. PM me when you want to meet.

I should be off next weekend but it's not a sure thing, I might be changing shifts in the near future, I'll pm both of you when I know for sure.

The slash got a little air today, I didn't have anyone to take pics of the big air but I took a couple of pics while I was driving.

The body sits a little too low IMO so I made a body lift for it last night.

I used four shock mount bushings under the body mount to give it a 1/4" lift, I also used longer screws to hold the mounts on. I did the same thing front and rear.
