Hello there. I am close to getting a SBR 2.0 right now.

The only big RC I have is an Arrma Kraton 6S Exb, that I bought a year ago. The thing is, I can't afford to have several expensive RC's. So if I get the SBR 2.0, I will have to sell the Kraton, wich is like new. Only used 4-5 times.

Even from the start I wanted a SCT the most. But I got the Kraton because it was the most value for money, with all the upgrades on it. I am not really a basher and don't even jump the Kraton. I would definitely enjoy the SBR more.

I have also looked at the Mojave. But now I have a chance to get the SBR for a good price. While the Mojave is not on sale. The difference in price will only be 150 euros. So I'd rather the SBR in that case.

What do you guys who own a SBR 2.0 think? Is the difficulty of working and cleaning it a big deal? Is switching the Kraton for it a good idea?

I know that I would need the rear reinforcement from Scorched right away. But are the fenders really needed for the SBR? The Mojave 6S probably does need the fenders.

Is it ok to start of with two 3S batteries instead of 4S? Is it enough power?

Another question is if it would be difficult to sell the Kraton. And what do you think I could get for it? I will include a Cnhl 6S 6200mah racing series battery with it.

I am in Sweden by the way. I will only sell locally.

Something I'm wondering is how the part availability is here in Europe. I know it's great for the Mojave. But I don't see parts for the SBR 2.0 on Swedish sites. Only on Horizonhobby.de I know they have parts. And maybe Monster Hopups.de.

The fenders aren’t “necessary” but they do help with the cleanup process. 6s will be plenty of power to move the beast of a truck! Also, just be cautious as the front gearbox is plastic that tends to separate under 8s power. I have since installed GPM diff cases for each diff and went with GPM aluminum gearbox for the front diff. Enjoy it! It’s a crazy rig!

Thanks. That thing's really cool. The thing is that I am not one who likes to upgrade much. That was a reason I bought the Kraton Exb, since it already had the upgrades.

But that's ok. I will start this summer by running on 6S. With time, if something is necessary, I will upgrade. The rear chassis brace I have to get instantly though. That's what I hear in all reviews.

Near me all offroad is mostly gravel. So we'll see if I need fenders. There is one kind of motocross place that is made to look like a desert, all sand. I ran my Kraton once there, but that place will be perfect for the SBR. It will be more capable there.

I am also interested in the Super Lasernut. It's too bad they didn't make it 8S capable.

This is how my Quantum RX looked after running in gravel:

Did they charge you extra money to take all that gravel home with you??? 🤣
I don't have much to offer on your questions but good luck with your buggy(s)!!!

Is it a good idea to buy an RC like this from Amazon? You still have warranty through Losi surely. I got a great deal that I couldn't refuse. Got 20% of the sale price. Basically it will cost me the same as a Mojave 6S.

Now I have to wait and see if or when it arrives. They didn't have it in stock.

I’d say don’t buy a new RC if it makes you sell another. The K6 EXB is a killer rig. Save up your cash and keep both.
I really love the look of the SBR, so I will have it sooner or later, one way or another. But I agree the Kraton is great as well. Really I have barely used it on terrain it needs, and having enough space. Given the price I'm getting the SBR for(if it arrives), maybe I won't have to sell the Kraton after all.

I kind of don't want to end up with a garage full of RC's. Like I see people posting online. Not that I don't want more. Wich is exactly that feeling of wanting more that makes me understand how addictive this hobby is. I'm not knocking people having a lot of RC's, just that I know I will never even have time to run and work on all of them.

It came with a crack at the back on the left side though. It's a pretty big crack but I'm not really that bothered by it considering I paid almost half price. I will probably tape all of the body with Gorilla tape.

On the plate under the chassis where you can see the motor. One screw wich is going into plastic is just spinning, it is stripped. What can I do? What can I use to fix it? Otherwise it will surely fall off when I run it. I've heard of people using super glue.

I have 2-3 weeks until I can run it, as I didn't order what I needed in time, because I thought it could take months before I get it. Today I ordered 4S Cnhl 8000mah batteries and a brace from Aliexpress. Maybe it will be good enough cause I won't be jumping it.

Really I wanted to go 6S instead of 8S, but the difference in price was negligible, so went with 2x4S. 8S even on 50% might be to powerful for my 8 year old daughter to try.

The first thing I always try is putting a plastic strip (zip tie) into the hole.

Interesting. I just read about cutting up zip ties and using that. That's what I gotta try first then.

I know there is loctite 425 and 435 that they themselves recommend for this kind of thing. But those are like 50 euros a bottle.

My first priority is to not damage the parts of the truck. Cause these parts are expensive. So the zip tie thing sounds good in that respect.

I finally got my batteries. Was going to run today, but the cables are too short by like 2cm. Has anyone had this issue? Is it ok to use extensions? All I can find are 15cm extensions.

Extensions work. They create a bit of heat and resistance, but you shouldn’t even notice.
Thanks for the info. I am relieved I don't have to return them. Probably I won't run on 100% anyway, it will be too much power on 8S. They fit perfectly in the tray but I don't get why they make the cables so short.

Having shorter cables helps in cars that have very little space under the body. Such as a Typhon 6S. I run very similar batteries in my Typhon.
I understand but I read somewhere that these Cnhl batteries fit in the SBR. That's why I got these. Maybe my pair happened to have a little shorter cables. It is very close, but I have to stretch them to the max and the second one doesn't go in.
