I'm looking at Pro-line Trenchers or The Bandlands cuz they the cheapest belted tires I can find I'm leaning towards the Badlands because I've heard the trenchers don't have enough forward traction
I don't know whether to get the 2.2 or the 2.8? The 2.8 monster truck tires I have on seem too big but my 2.2 stock tires are too small for the conditions I drive in sometimes I run in low traction I/E snow mudd, as well as grass and gravel a lot sorry for the long question I just don't have a local hobby shop

If you got the body to accommodate anything larger than normal 2.2/3.0" short course truck wheels and tires... I say do the monster SCT thing. 2.8" wheels and tires it shall be. ;)

I know they don't make 2.2" stadium truck Badland tires let alone belted. I believe your only option, for belted Pro-Line tires, is the 2.8" Trencher or Badlands. I prefer the more rounded profile of Badlands for aggressive off-road action.

I'm running the XC10 with a 3S battery. I'm ballooning tires already I even had to turn the punch down on the motor from default to keep the front end down on my Traxxas Slash. Only reason I was maybe considering a smaller than 2.8 was cuz I accommodated it well with the body but if I bottom out the suspension it will rub but I refuse to cut it away anymore body. But with this set up alone I can't run my RC again until I get belted tires, coda racing motor mounts and a chassis stiffener a handful of runs has twisted motor mounts and loosened that screw to the bulkhead above the spur gear

Belted 2.8 Trenchers wear well. But (1) they're expensive and (2) they're heavy. Run a full set of four on my MT10 from time to time. Adds one full pound (16oz / 453g) to the weight of the truck - all unspring weight. O.K. if you go in a straight line without a lot of ruts and jumps. Also, Trenchers won't hook up on grass well if you dabble in that terrain medium.

14mm hex inserts seem a better compromise that 12mm if you can adapt 14mm to your application. The weight and mass of the belted Trencher is a bit much to ask of 12mm hexes in my opinion.

Hope this helps. Good luck. -AC
