I bought this car as a kit and have wanted another ever since!
Welcome to my LC12B1’s story.

In this photo it has some 2.2” JConcepts goosebumps and JConcepts buggy wheels front n rear. The wheels took some work to get enough thread showing for the wheel nut. I had to fiddle with the buggy body for an eternity to get it to sit down all the way, it is only a good fit on the chassis with factory esc, I have upgraded to a bigger esc.

@DavidB1126, is your MiniB a shorter wheelbase then the MiniT?

I made a little video of it. A car like this is extremely hard to drive one handed while you film with a phone. Enjoy!

All those rocks = BUMPSTEER

LC Racing got some awesome looking RCs!
Last time I heard the term "shapeshifter" was JANG and his Pede 4x4 projects.
I call it the shapeshifter because:
•LC Racing uses the same chassis for the LC12B1, 1/14 Truggy, and the SCT.
• The bodies you can get are very close between 1/12 and 1/14
• Changing from car, to sct, to Baja bug, or Truggy/ buggy, is just as simple as changing body mounts, bumpers, and tires.
It is a very versatile platform.

Next addition:
The Truggy

ESC temps were 137* at the top fin, because it’s mounted on the side, and 115* at the bottom. Motor temps were 139* at the rear of the can and 127 up front by the pinion. I’d say we’re good.
I will update the gearing when I can check what I’m using, off the top of my cranium I don't actually remember. No surprise there.
Uhh yeah, with some 2.2’s like mini e-revo or or losi mini b/t tires, this thing rocks.

So the only difference in ground clearance between them is the tires? I'd think they'd use different shocks or shock towers.

NIce looking RC, but Traxxas' 1/10 4x4 platforms and Arrma's 3S platforms offer that same versatility / parts commonality.

Yes, I suppose? Different springs and setting ride height? It’s a small car and small changes are dramatic.
I don’t own a Traxxas or arrma so I couldn’t compare to those, nor was I comparing 😆

Nor am I promoting 🤣 just fyi

Looks like a fun car to tinker on.

That dirt area would be a good place for a small track for it. Need to hire all the neighborhood kids to come pick up rocks 😉

Good looking rig and that track has some potential.
Yeah, it’s a lot of work to get the rocks out, they just keep manifesting. I also don’t know how I want the layout to be, right now it’s just an oval.
I'm planning to do similar if I ever open my lc12
You should, out of all the tires I have tested, 2.2 buggy wheels and tires have been the best. Lc has the Truggy tires but I haven’t tried them.

I can't say that my phone hasn't tinted the colors a bit. The bug looks orange, the buggy looks more red.
That said, I love some flash on an R/C.
If the buggy 'pops', thats my color.
Yeah the buggy is a darker orange. Darker than the cap on the can.

I’m going to make a poll and see what EVERYONE thinks?!
