i took the Ascent18 out to the crawler course this afternoon for a rip. i swear everytime i drive these guys i fall back in love with them. if they were only slightly larger lol
it surprised the snot outta me tho, it rocked up and over some obstacles the larger scales have troubles with, it may not have climber insane degrees, but it trudged right up the sides of most of the rocks.
i love how even small things can become huge obstacles, a simple ditch line with some bare dirt is AWESOME!!
a head sized rock that the 10/th or 8th scales hardly notices becomes an entire mountain range!!

charging batteries tonight so we can take all the minis out to the course and make a little comp between my son and i tomorrow.

Pretty funny for me...I have the ascent 18, and I have the scx24 c10 with that body on it. You have a hybrid going on here.
The 18 has a few upgrades. Treal aluminum wheels with brass rings inside, injora mudslingers for rubber, and meus brass diff covers. I also moved the shocks to some different mounting holes from stock. Really capable little rig.

so what had happened wuz.....
i took the c10 apart, got this idea to make a 3d printed chasis and do all kinda of col stuff. then i got side tracked. the only part i can find from the c10 is 1 chassis rail and the body lol so i threw it on the redcat so i didnt lose that part too lol!

the redcat has powerhobby aluminum axles, aluminum front links and stainless driveshafts, i think i also threw a set of 10mm hextenders on it.
she needs some more loving but it gets hard to trick one out without the others getting REALLY jealous lol

That body looks killer on there.
