Broke the pull start on my Redcat tornado and finally decided enough was enough. So I stepped up to a much more reliable brand, and to be completely honest the price point just can't be beat. Although I couldn't really find any reviews on it I'm curious to hear anybody's feedback on the brand and the buggy itself. So if you own one, let me know what you like and don't like about it and maybe share some helpful tips about it.

I ordered it online today and should be here next week. I was going to go to my LHS and pick it up but they didn't have any and were on back order until October. But yeah anyway, I'm super stoked and next week can't get here fast enough.

No experience worry them but the brand is around a lot and the car looks good. Let us know how toy get on with it.

I've had good experience with dNanos and MiniZs that Kyosho makes.

Another member here recently got a Kyosho FO-XX. @WVNed maybe? Seemed pretty happy with it. Kyosho has been around forever, and it seems parts are readily available, so I'd think it's a much better deal than the Redcat. I have a Rampage MT in my garage that belongs to a buddy of mine that makes me want to pour gas on it and set a match to it.

I am extremely happy with the FO-XX. It does have some issues though. ALL the fasteners fall out. I have been replacing them as they go with nylock nuts. Some of the screws dont even go all the way through the stock flange nuts and I have replaced those with longer ones. Some of the parts seem to be ABS, the body cage, front bumper and have cracked. It always starts and runs easily and has needed very little tuning from base settings.

It has become my go-to fun car.

I've always liked Kyosho but never could justify spending an arm and a leg on one. Hell my dad still has his vintage Optima from like 1986. He's actually the one that talked me into it for the most part. Seems like a proven brand.

I also have an optima mid from way back. I have been a long time fan. It sounds like maybe a good idea to go thru your car and loc-tite your hardware. Not a bad idea anyways. Parts should be easy to come across. I believe you'll have a good experience.

Oh yeah definitely gonna go over the car with a fine tooth comb and make sure everything is copacetic before I even start to break her in. It'll be here Monday. To say "the anticipation is killing me" would be an understatement lol

As soon as I get it though, you guys will definitely be the first to know. Maybe I'll do an unboxing video if I don't get too excited and forget.

I haven't done an un-boxing in too long... Hmmm.... Damned bills and food and all those other things... When is someone gonna make all this stuff free so we can get on with the good stuff???
I'll be looking forward to seeing the new car!
