Welcome aboard. Hell of a deal you got on tgst monster.

Looks like you got one shock per corner. They usually have 2 unless its a fatter losi shock. I've heard some parts are different but cannot confirm.

They used to have purple aluminum hopup shocks but those days are long gone.

My friend had one years ago, all decked out in purple. It would be a shame if HPI didn't rerelease those parts!

If you can measure the length of the shocks, eye to eye, someone might know of a good replacement shock for you.

Killer deal on this truck!!! Nice!!! 😍

Thank u wasn't shore bought 5 now this one is atleast use able

You can buy whatever you like. I would prob replace them all so the springs are new and all the shocks are the same length.

Buying a used RC can be tricky. Sometimes a good deal is just a good deal and love it!
Lots of times tho, esp with nitro, used is hit or miss. A lot of the time, sellers don't even know if the motor is good. Its a big gamble.

I hope this one works out for you!

At least hang on to jennysrc.com link. They are new take off parts at great prices. They have awesome customer service and know their stock well.

Solid hobby shop!!!

You got a nice deal.
It looks like your Savage has only 4 of older smaller diameter shocks.
That would explain the poor handling.

HPI's Big Bore shock bodies are about 16mm in diameter while the original shocks are about 12mm.
You only need 4 Big Bores, but 8 of the older style.
You can address your handling issue by installing 4 more smaller shocks or replace what you have with 4 Big Bores.

Big Bores get mounted on the outside of the shock tower (extreme front and rear), not on the inside like your shocks are currently mounted.

Set-up & pre-load can then do a lot to improve a Savages handling.
