I totally agree. I don't kick them until after they are running usually...it's better to know why it failed rather than not knowing so it can be fixed or replaced...kicking it means you are straight up peeved off and i do try to avoid doing that.
I had never had that desire until last Saturday. I came oh so close. Running the xl like a beast. After about 15 minutes of ripping it around, it died at idle. It took a good crank to get it started again. HMMM.After electric and pull starts fail, I have resorted to kick-starting... The RC never starts but I always feel better after giving the unrunner a good boot!![]()
All is not lost!!!I had never had that desire until last Saturday. I came oh so close. Running the xl like a beast. After about 15 minutes of ripping it around, it died at idle. It took a good crank to get it started again. HMMM.
I didn’t like that and I knew it wasn’t lean. However, after setting for a minute it’d fire right back up. Run like a beast. But, kept dying after idling for 4-5 seconds. I repeated this cycle for another 30 minutes.
It run great but, that idle thing persisted. I couldn’t figure it out. Next thing you know I have run and fooled with this thing for several hours. I checked the head bolts. I checked the exhaust. I checked the fuel lines, the tank, tank pressure, etc. it took a while as it run like the wind as long as I wa throttling up. But, it kept persisting and was getting worse. Man, I was so aggravated. It died the last time and I charged!!!!! Had I not broke my ankle in October, I’d booted it as hard as I could.
Turned out to be a loose glo plug that was ready to fall out by this time. Man, I’m glad I didn’t boot it.
Nice job man.just checking how it fits before using more epoxy then painting.

the bottom plate is 2mm and the top half section is 3mm aluminum it's a good fit with JB weld....i reckon i will need to jump it to break it.A very creative fix there!

i have to finish it soon to test drive it, but i found some time today to buy a second used schumacher havoc it's difficult to pass on a good nitro.
the wheels/tires will be replaced as these are destroyed.
