Vanquish played a little tricky trick on me and included one M3x12mm in Bag A alongside the other three screws to hold down the third member bearing carriers. There should have been four M3x10mm. Instead, there were three plus the 12mm. I sorted all the screws before building the bag and overlooked it. Guess how soon I realized it was too long….

Yep…not soon enough 😂

I've done that same damn thing.

I am sitting here waiting for the black Friday deals on Elegoo. A Carbon will be mine. And 2 weeks after that I'll be kicking my own ass for buying a new 3d printer right now. But you're having way too much fun, and I can't be havin' that 😉

Heck yeah! can’t wait to see what you do with yours!

You guys hear anything about the multiple filliment system for the centauri yet? Been waiting on that.

Probably cuss at it 🤣

I am currently building a decent computer, because the STOOOOOPID Winblows forced update to 11 made my computer useless.

I had just started looking at blender again to learn how to model with it when I got a message from Fusion 360 saying it was not going to work in Windsucks asses 10 after the 14th of October. Then, while creating a bootable flash drive, I found out STOOOOOOPID Windoh's was now going to force me to log into my Microscumbag account just to log onto my computer.

But once I scrape microsofts excrements out of the new PC, the plan is to get a carbon and try printing some truck bodies, while learning Blender to model my own eventually.

%$@& @(# Bill Gates!

I think I have, and if I did, I think I forgot I did. Actually I am pretty certain I forgot a number of things, because I also forgot what I popped back in here to do now.

Saw some stuff on Reddit and, if it’s true, I’m not a fan of the solution they came up with.

Yeah that's why I asked. Something popped up on my youtube but I didn't get to watch it. It still looks like it could be adapted to it. Hopefully we can get the parts.

@xjtorc Did you see a price?
Nothing yet. Pictured, if it's real, is a whole new machine being called the Centauri Carbon 2. I wouldn't be surprised if it's AI which has been shared and spread like wildfire. The entire fan/filter system is moved to the left side of the cabinet in the picture...seems odd to me.

I don't think anything has been officially stated by Elegoo other than their apology for taking too long to perfect the AMS system.

Thats true. Could be fake bs.

Framed up.

Axles and trans are also done.

One thing about the build I’ve noticed, which kinda sucks, is all the plastic. The H10 Optic kit was the first Vanquish kit I ever built. It came with a lot of “upgrades” as kits do. I didn’t do much research when I bought the VRD kit, I just bought it because of the LCG style chassis. I assumed, it being a kit, it would have all the same upgrades as the H10. As I built the trans and saw the plastic bearing carriers and plastic rods to connect the trans to the transfer case, I realized the VRD Builders Kit has none of the “upgrades”. Pretty lame. But like I said, I didn’t do any research ahead of time. Instead pulled the trigger based on assumptions. Considering the price, I can’t be too mad, I was just shocked to see some of the plastic parts having remembered them being aluminum in the other kit I built lol.

Speaking of aluminum, I also received some Amazonian aluminum third member covers with aluminum axle carriers to replace the one I broke….Noice.

I have some work to do this weekend.

Gotta love needing upgrades before the build is even finished.

Worlds slowest build update:

Axles, shocks, driveshafts, and suspension links are all done. Everything is ready to go together now.

I have read about the incision shocks being complete leaky turds, just so ya know. 🍻
Oh yes. They are. lol. I disassembled the cartridges and lubed with some slime, used a slightly fatter o ring on the top cap but they’ll still leak eventually, for sure.

It's a shame since Vanquish is supposed to be Top Notch. DLUX FAB has really good shocks and honestly, relatively priced compared to many other brands.

Agreed. I even added all the Vanquish “upgrades” to the set of these I had on the H10 and they still leaked. They were smooth and performed well…but they leaked lol.

I’ll cross the shock upgrade bridge when I get there. I’ll run these guys for a while and see how it does in stock form.

She's done...almost. Servo, ESC, and motor are in!

I have a fresh set of tires for her: JConcepts Landmine 4.72s. Now I just need to decide on wheels.

I'm in the home stretch...let's see how much longer I can drag this out!
