Follow along as I stumble through a Project IJ 3D Printed Jeep build with no plan and no idea!
For more info on Project IJ see here: YouMagine - RCMUSTDIY - Project IJ
You have to source the necessary hardware, print all of the pieces, then follow the detailed instructions for assembly. It is essentially a kit build in and of itself...which is what drew me to it because it's freakin awesome!
It seems to be VERY well engineered and is printing very easily, so far, on my Centauri Carbon.
I'm just working my way through the manual and printing out all of the parts. Using PETG PRO for the exterior, roll cage, and structural parts for the chassis and using PLA for the interior and accent parts.
I do not have a chassis for it yet. It comes with the files to convert a Vanquish VS410 to accept the body via very strong magnetic mounts. Options also exist for VRD, H10, and the Axial SCX10 Pro. I'll eventually source a VS410 kit but have no big rush. Just focusing on the fun of building the body at this point in time.
My print pile, so far...still lots to print:
