Ok, l didn't want to start this build until I could get my head in the game. First of all, I would like to thank the many generous folks who made this build possible...you know who you are,;) Thank you all for your tremendous generosity at a time I really needed it! šŸ˜

You guys will have to bare with me on this, being my first real build. Going to be slow and steady.
FIRST UP:
The easy part, putting the chassis together.

That's it for the easy part. 🤣
Had some parts left from bag 1&2 so I put the screws into the parts so I don't have to track them down later. I know right? I actually used the old noodle for once. 😜

The next step is the gearbox. The initial instructions show the standard gearing but I want to use the modified gearing they tucked in the back of the instructions. This is what I will be using.

I marked up my instructions so I can remember what parts I'm using without having to flip to the back of the manual.

Next I need to get all of this assembled, but needed to take a break and post this progress while I still remember What I've done so far. But hey it's a start! :thumbs-up:

Oh yeah, see I already forgot stuff. The instructions are printed a tad dark so I had to zoom in with my camera to make sure which holes I was using.

OK, my eyes aren't what they used to be, but this did help.

My phone has replaced magnifying glasses. It's really helpful if you're trying to read the fine print on things like AC adapters.

Will be watching. Glad to see ya building this one finally. We're here for ya bro!

Now I find myself in a dumb situation. Went to grab my Hobbywing Fusion 1800 motor, and there was a Reedy motor and ESC in my box. I have another one that I had written Reedy on, and thought maybe I just mixed them up, nope! I forgot I had used them both already, just ordered a new one from A-main. I have another motor I could drop in it, but really like my fusion combo's.

Can't sit at the table anymore tonight or my back won't work tomorrow. See if I have the energy tomorrow to skip ahead a step or two to get something else done. Monday nights are typically ugly. We will see.

Freakin sweet, always love me a ground up buildšŸ¤˜šŸ¼

It's so satisfying to look at build progress of a fresh kit. It's so hard to document the process without getting totally swallowed in the enjoyment of the build. Great job so far! Like @OnwardGuinevere said, the color on the parts is very attractive.
