This is going to be so cool, I wish we could do a group diorama, would be fun.

Hell yeah, that would be awesome if we all lived close enough to get something going.

Oh, I got the boards all glued down too.

Not glued down yet, but here is the rope bridge so far. Time for a break. Still have to tie the top ropes on then there will be a rope that zigzags between the upper and lower rope.

Thank you. Not quite there yet. I am not too happy with the rope I used. It looked a lot more rope-like in the pictures. But it will do I guess. I ordered some hemp rope as well, but it was too small and shiney. I may see if I can use it for the rest of the webbing.

What if you hit the rope with a little rough sandpaper, to fray it a bit? Just a thought.

It is made of cotton, and the strands are too loose. Sandpaper would just make it look worse I think. It will be ok. I just wish I could have found something better.

You can also spin some trees with that rope also. Put a long doubled up wire in your drill and put a line of cut rope strands and then spin it with the other end nailed to your bench. Then spray paint them.

I've made them this way. It's about the easiest I think. Just cutting them from a fake Christmas tree works perfectly.

Yes, you can trim them or cut them to any shape or size you want. Simple, cheap, and they look great on a layout.

I will probably only put a few trees around the layout. They will have trunks that are about 1/2" diameter. The rest of them were cut down already if you look in the first post in this thread lol.

Yeah. I will have an area on the layout with tree stumps and piles of logs. Just have to paint all those durn things

I am putting an uneven bridge across the waterfall

Got 3 more layers of foam added. About 8 to go.

This is a trench that will be an alternate path.

One foot in the water

About to get really steep

Wet tires will suck here

Uneven bridge will go here. Have something really tricky planned. Careful don't go swimming!

Thanks. It is only about halfway done. I had to take a break from the foam so I thought I would knock that out resl quick. Got another cool addition coming up tomorrw.
