So my last build, I planned the idea form the ground up. Had a wheelbase in mind, picked a chassis and started building. Last thing was the body, and wasn't even sure I was going to put a body on it.
A few weeks ago, I was at a thrift store with Mrs. Tallbump, found a toy Jeep for $2.75, and now it's off to the races. (well, crawler spot, as this ain't no race car
)
As you see, it had the little buttons to make different noises.
Here's a pic side by side with a Basecamp for comparison
Disassembly
Guts
Removed all the junk and excess plastic
Test fit.
Sitting on a Basecamp Chassis for now, with 43MM shocks, upside down no springs. It's just sitting there, not mounted.
Working on getting the correct wheelbase/driveshaft length.
Once I get that nailed ( I think I got it) I will do different shocks and I have some mods to do to the body. Add-ons, I am not removing/trimming anything.
Going with a scale build, nothing crazy.
I will use this chassis and pick up a nice LCG chassis for the Basecamp that is donating this one.
