Not much left on the stump, my sister and her BF did the hard work.
One more chunk to dig out and then I'll level it and plant new grass.

I was feeling pretty light headed so I had to stop for the day.

Got all my seedlings into its containers. Temps are dropping off for the next several days, so everything will be staying in the greenhouse until next week. Got the fence posts up and will be wrapping everything in chicken wire next week.
It was pretty warm today, so after working on the garden, I took a shower and a bit of a break in the air conditioned house. After cooling down, I headed back out to mow the thick, lush lawn.

All the work I did, I did it sitting down. I would have passed out standing up.
I blacked out last night but the wife was close so I made it to my chair.
A veggie garden would be nice but I pull my ATV trailer over this area to park it in the back yard, this so it wouldn't work.

A veggie garden would be nice but I pull my ATV trailer over this area to park it in the back yard, this so it wouldn't work.

I don't even know if I would do a garden these days. I had a friend that grew some stuff in 5 gallon buckets. Pop a hole in the bottom, fill with dirt, then hang the bucket and put tomato plants in the hole you made so they hang upside down. It works amazingly well. At least that was the worst one for me to harvest in the garden, and the bucket thing makes it easy

I don't think we could do a garden. The wife is 7 years older than me so I don't let her do too much but
that's almost next to impossible. Like me, she knows her limits and she enjoys pulling weeds.
I just think a garden will be too much and if I have to have radiation therapy, that's every single day for several weeks.
She won't want to weed a garden in the heat.

My last day of work at the local gun shop.... until September.

There is always a summer slump in foot traffic, and the owner asked me on Thursday if I would mind taking the summer off and coming back after Labor Day. He was obviously nervous about asking, but I told him: I wasn't looking for a job when I found this one, so no worries.

Yesterday Mrs. Doom had surgery to remove a big lump of scar tissue from two surgeries ago. So today is a veg. day while I play nurse, fortunately I have plenty of experience.

Honestly she's doing really well and doesn't need much help. But I still have to remind her when it's time for her ice packs and other stuff.
