Well this is RC related but it’s going here anyways.

We found a local hobby shop near the cheer event. They had some indoor tracks and a small crawler track.

Spent a little time there, they let my son run a drift car

Everyone there was great, even with my son all over the track . Had to throw them some support

Went to town and washed my truck and my oldest daughter brought over a wheelchair so I can scoot around the neighborhood a little bit because I can't walk.

I am going to be very disappointed in you, if you don't slap some rc stickers on that wheelchair!

went to a small car show at a small fair in a parking lot. had about 45 cars. some cool stuff. really nice white 63 Impala wagon laid out on supremes at the gate. tubed 71(?) split bumper Camaro. a few late 40's Fords. 65 Pontiac Catalina on the wide 8 lug wheels. don't think iv ever seen that in person before. few hot rods including a (i think it was a) 31 Ford (most people would call it a "rat rod" (dumbasses))with a Crysler Marine engine. and a burgundy 32 Ford Vicky with a small block.
unfortunately no pic's. it was cramped and there were people everywhere.

We refilled the bird feeder and put two new hummingbird feeders out.
They should be showing up any day now.

The top to-do task today was relocating my curb side mailbox. The other top task would have been spraying the entire lawn for weeds. Unfortunately, it was overcast and sprinkling on and off all day long.

We refilled the bird feeder and put two new hummingbird feeders out.
They should be showing up any day now.

Before they tore down the dilapidated pole barn out back, it was covered with flowering vines that the hummingbirds loved. There is still one growing in the tree close by. So they will still come around. Just not as closeup.

We got a bunch of shopping, chores done... Bought a Dewalt 20v drill with 2 bats and a bag for $80!
Got a drill and tap to hopefully save our outside water spigot too.
Installed another light bulb in the fridge. Now that its clean, I don't mind having a light to see in there again.

We get humming birds year round, we have landscaping that atrracts humming birds, bees, butterflies, etc. I like watching critters

I have had them fly right up to my face. Top to bottom, like it was doing a facial recognition scan or something! Funny little guys!

We usually get a couple that hang with us for most of the summer.

We get a good assortment of other birds here too. Tons of trees here and hedges in our frint yard that they like to nest in.

We have turkeys, owls and hawks that don't come to feed on seed but are still hunting too.

We listen to the owls all night in the summer sometimes. They get loud! Lol!

We put out suet for the woodpeckers too. They seem to enjoy that.

Being in the "burbs" we don't get as much variety, but we do get, Doves, Humming Birds, Sparrows, Blue Jays, Mocking Birds, the occasional Swallow and once even a duck in our pool.

Across the street, is a small orchard of Walnuts. It gets lots of Crows, some Herons (there is a drainage ditch they like to hunt in), Red Tail Hawks are frequent in our area, as well as Turkey Vultures. Did I mention the orchard is full of ground squirrels and field mice?

If I go a block or two south, the college has farmland that is frequented by hundreds of Canada Geese and Redwing Blackbirds.

Did I mention I like watching critters? I think the squirrels and crows are the most entertaining.

Fresh back togeter after doing some routine maintenance. Cam/timing belts, oil change, and new battery. Rode it to church this morn. I was a good boy though, didnt take ut over 100 mph this time

Overcast, raw, and windy outside, today, so, again, no lawn work. Instead, I installed 2 solar powered flood lights inside the shed, since the old one stopped working. While I was working in there, I did some more reorganizing.
Noticed a large, old tote that's been behind the shed, that was used for storing a couple of old garden hoses. Decided to turn the tote into a worm composting bin.
