Just got an email alert from emergencyemail.org for some strange reason. It's like the end of the world is coming, just looking at the email intensity. We're supposed to get at max 8" of snow now from Sundsy night to Monday night.

OH MY GAWD! WHAT WILL WE DO?

We got over 26" of snow over the course of 3 days one year, and I drove to work from Terre Haute to Indy (70 miles each way), down I-70, through an area most truckers consider to be the most accident prone stretch of interstate in the country, in a Hyundai Accent. The only time I was worried was when some moron flew past me and immediately did a 180 and slammed into the barracade dividing north and southbound traffic.

Oh woe is me. I better get online and order myself 600 rolls of toilet paper, just in case!

They just sent me an updated alert. I don't even know who EmergencyEmail.ORG is, but they seem like an organization who's only purpose is fear mongering.

Up to an inch total!???
Would that not be like 10 snowflakes per hour or some chit?

I really love how they emphasized Snow, snow, snow, snow, snow, freezing rain, freezing rain

All for 1/4" to 1/2" of SNOW!

That sounds like a great movie. A family venture away from Orange Park and make it all the way to a rest stop in Indiana. The temp drops to 65 degrees and the sky turns slightly grey in color. They all freak out and take off running in every direction. The rest of the story is them trying to make their way back to the car, battling extreme wind of 5 mph, and rain that actually makes you feel cold

It's funny all the people from the north who moved here. Every hurricane season they scare them into buying up all the supplies. Year after year. People are to dumb to keep stuff on hand. Then they get pissed when it wasn't needed and can't be returned. I'd totally watch that movie.

If I moved down there, I'd build my home IN a sink hole! Sort of addresses a bunch of issues all at once... plus they can just bulldozer the whole thing in when I croak to save on funeral costs!

Yeah, any transplants here or there are going to act like idiots. I always have at least a weeks worth of food and supplies. I'll eat my Traxxas stuff if I get desperate

Yeah, but sassafras root is on that list too. So I don't give a rats patootie what their list says. The FDA is an organization I consider to be the enemy of the American population. Sassafras root has such powerful medicinal uses, that they don't want it competing with big pharma

I grew up next door to an old lady that was 93 years old by the time we moved a few miles away. She would take me back in the woods with her to show me how to find the young sassafras trees. And yeah, she dug them up. Then she would make me the absolute best tea on the planet. She died in her 100's. Carcinogen my butt
