We'll be in the -30° -40° windchill range this weekend. I've skied in it before (-53° standing still) but only because I was working. Even the loggers I know aren't going to be working this Saturday. Maybe Sunday I heard.Have fun. I'm staying indoors.
It's cold any exposed skin is vulnerable. I've hade frostbite it's not fun......it's not fun for a year or more as the nerves recover. Super hyper sensitive to temperature, hot or cold.
Just a tip...I use a product called dermitone https://www.dermatone.com/?srsltid=AfmBOooPs1FOgO-g8gQd3Kkwne0m1FqzqdBYHY0x7qw9EvjUDo-0TdaI
But any lotion or Vaseline type product can help on exposed or semi exposed skin. It slows the evaporation of basically your sweat. Which transfers heat. Helps with windburn also.
I know a lot about snow and cold
I love it, most of the time
