After pretty much roasting my 9.5 MBX's stock force .21 engine last summer at 1.75 gallons, I'm trying to get back up to speed on what's out there. Looking at the magazines there seems to be more and more pull and roto start engines these days, which sounds appealing to me, being the lazy type guy that just bashes in the pasture and beach. I already have the roto, but havn't opened the package yet.
Other than the OS RGX-P .21 are any other EASY TO TUNE, EASY TO START(by pull or roto), relatively durable, .21-.27+ motors out there anyone would recconend? Cost isn't really a concern if it's foolproof and lasts for many gallons.
Thanks:beer:

Well if your just looking for a ps mill i whould go with the hyper 7 8 port. it is a very strong and fast mill.
but if money isn't a problem then you should buy a good starter box. then purchas the .21 ws711 rb concepts or the c5.if you really want some power.i have the ws711 its wicked quick.iam even running a 8mm restrictor.all most to much power..

Or you can look at the sirio monster motor..27..I've never ran one but from what i have herd it to is a very fast mill also..

Well, I know of 3 21 rg-x(p)'s that blew before 2 gallons. 2 shattered con rods, and the other had the crank snap in two. The guy that had the conrods shatter, replaced his 2nd blown os with an HB (or GS, can't remember which it is) 26 powerhouse. I went with an Omega 21 Comp. I have about 2 gallons (1.5ish) through my Omega and the piston is still shiny and the piston still gets stuck at the top of the sleeve. It tunes pretty easy, but I didn't see full power and easy tuning until I hit about a full gallon. I broke it in useing the heat cycling method and put the piston at BDC between all tanks of fuel during break in and all runs after.

As for the HB 26, I doubt bomber even has 1/2 gallon through it yet.

I'll post a thorough review when the Omega dies. But I more wanted to let you know that the OS may not be all you've read about. It was relatively weak (1.8hp), but easy anc consitant to tune for the 2 gallons they all three lasted. But to get three that blew up before 2 gallons???

The only reason that I'm kind of surprised at the short life is due to the fact that with my first nitro (xxx-nt with mach .15), I got 4 gallons through it and I was brand new to tuning and everything. Hell, I didn't even break that one in. Just put fuel in it and started beating the crap out of it. Out of 2 OS 15 cv-r(x)'s, one had 6 gallons through it and still ran like a top, the other had 4 gallons run through it and I attempted a port job just for the hell of it... it didn't go so well! But, the engine still has good compression, just doesn't run for crap.

Currently I'm running an orion .18 in my faux sport maxx and I have about 2 gallons through it. It still has good compression and is pretty good with a tune. The omega is sitting on a shelf waiting for my savage roller to show up on monday. Then I'll see what it can really do.
