Built my Atlas with aluminum no name axles from Amazon. The u joint pins walk out after several minutes.
Possible fix being tested
I tapped the pin flush and hit the yoke close (1/2mm or so) to the pin with a drill punch. Did all 4 the same.
I'll update if my fix works,

Anyone else have any fixes or other options I'm not thinking of?

What you're up to seems like a smart play. I'll be watching as I have some Axspeed axles on the bench I have yet to install in 2 different rigs. Might have use this trick...

So, you are trying to deform (I don't know what word I'm trying to think of) the aluminum a bit to hold the pin in?
The next time the pin(s) worked their way out, I'd at least try a drop of blue threadlocker on the pin when pushing it back in. Yes/no? That's what I do when I replace driveshaft pins.

The axle shaft yoke is steel, yes I'm trying to dimple the steel to put pressure on the pin from both sides.
If it doesn't work I'm trying roll pins next.
